Q: 1. Can you turn the TX/RX off when you don't need it to lower power draw?
A: yes the transmitter can be disabled when not in use and it will reduce the power draw
Q: 2. Does this monitor receive signal from TERADEK ACE 800?
A: At this time the SmallHD Cine 7 500 RX will work with only Bolt 500 transmitters.
Q: 3. Is bolt 1000 receiver compatible with Cine 7 500 TX?
A: Yes, the Cine 7 500 TX can be paired with the Bolt 1000.
Q: 4. Can you power through Red lemo cable?
A: No this can NOT be powered through a RED lemo cable, they have opposite polarities, SMALLHD is ARRI polarity and RED is US polarity
Q: 5. Will this control the fx9
A: Not that we are aware of, as this is specifically designed to work with the Sony Venice.
Q: 6. Does one need a cover if one removes the L series battery plate?
A: We do not believe a cover would be needed.
Q: 7. Does Sony Walkman NW-E395 support USB OTG ( ON-THE-GO) functionality?
A: OTG is not supported.
Q: 8. does this have a horizon line overlay like their previous monitors? for steadicam usage
A: The SmallHD Cine 7 does have a Crosshatch tool that can put a number of horizontal and vertical lines from 2x2 to 9x9 grids. You could also use a custom aspect ratio overlay for this purpose. https://guide.smallhd.com/m/cine7
Q: 9. Is it compatible with Bolt 4K?
A: this is built with the BOLT 500 transmitter and hence is compatible with receivers that work with the BOLT 500 transmitter
Q: 10. Is there any difference between the Arri/Red kit and the standard Cine 7 besides the additional cables? I'm hoping to purchase 1 Cine 7 to use with both Sony Fx6 and Red Helium 8k
A: The SmallHD Cine 7 display in the kit would work with both of your camera models. It would also work with the FX6.
