The Countryman E6s Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation. The compact size and placement just in front of the ear make this microphone particularly well-suited for intimate theater and broadcast applications, or any use where low mic visibility is a key factor.

The omnidirectional pickup pattern provides a generous and forgiving pickup area around the perimeter of the capsule, while the stainless steel construction stands up to daily use, makeup, and sweat. The mic also comes with 3 different interchangeable caps that let you choose between a flat, bright, or very bright frequency response.

This version of the E6s is tan and comes with a 2mm diameter Duramax cable. It terminates to a Switchcraft TA4-F connector for use with Shure wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can I use this with the atem min extreme iso pro hdmi version?

A: The Blackmagic Design ATEM Microphone Converter is only designed to work with the new ATEM Television Studio switchers over the MADI in/out port, which the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO HDMI switcher does not have.

Q: 2. How would you compare this to the Sennheiser 418s?

A: Hi Jesse R, The ECM680S is one of Sonys best shotgun microphones. It is switchable between mono and stereo and I don't believe that is something the Sennheiser does. I would also say that at almost half the price of the Sennheiser it is an excellent value. Ralph

Q: 3. anyone with experience with ECM-680S and a current on camera mike like ECM-B1M or ECM-M1? What's the difference in camera noise?

A: The Sony ECM-680S M/S Stereo Shotgun Microphone, when properly mounted in a shock mount, should pick up less handling noise than on-camera mics with a solid mount such as the Sony ECM-B1M.

Q: 4. Length of XLR5 cable, please. And did you buy a supplemental wind screen?

A: We mounted the mic on our PDW-700 using the front port so we got the smallest cable(about 12 ) and we used the basic windscreen that just slides on with no extra fuzzy muff - we are inside 99% of the time.

Q: 5. How long is the cable that it comes with?

A: The cable is 9.8 feet (3 meters).

Q: 6. Hello,It is possible to use this mic on spectacle, theater, contest, show that the loudspeakers are relatively close and or should not have feedback (Larsen) ?

A: Hi there! The ECM-322 is a headset ONMNI mic, and an Omni mic cannot (by design) isolate sound sources in a specific direction. If it gets strong enough signal, it will deliver that to the speaker and feedback will result. Good speaker placement is also key in this equation. The more you can get the mic/talent OFF speaker axis (farther from directly in front) - the more HF will be attenuated naturally and the whole system will be less sensitive to feedback. Best regards, Erin

Q: 7. Can this send separate M and S channels to the sound recorder for decoding later in post?

A: It's decoded inside the mic. All you need is a Y cable 5 pin XLR to two 3 pin XLR's. This is the cable B&H # RECAXSTE you can find it on the B&H website.

Q: 8. whats the difference between the Sony ECM 678, now discontinued mic and the new Sony ECM 678/9x shotgun mic?

A: The available documentation from Sony shows identical specifications for both mics. The only mentioned difference would be in the included accessories, with the ECM-678/9x a short XLR cable is provided for connection to the camera.

Q: 9. Can the M4 mount to a camera hot shoe with with audio isolation?

A: The Zoom M4 MicTrak Stereo Microphone and Recorder has a 1/4-20 mounting hole, which can be used along with accessories like BH #RESACS14M for shoe mounting.

Q: 10. Anyone know where to find replacement headbands for the ECM-322BMP? As I have just learned these little guys are easy to lose.

A: Hi David, to help you with this, we recommend sending an email to Sony Parts research: ProPartsResearch@am.sony.com or call 800-538-7550, 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. ET, Monday - Friday. Regards, Erin
