The Countryman E6s Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation. The compact size and placement just in front of the ear make this microphone particularly well-suited for intimate theater and broadcast applications, or any use where low mic visibility is a key factor.

The omnidirectional pickup pattern provides a generous and forgiving pickup area around the perimeter of the capsule, while the stainless steel construction stands up to daily use, makeup, and sweat. The mic also comes with 3 different interchangeable caps that let you choose between a flat, bright, or very bright frequency response.

This version of the E6s is cocoa and comes with a 1mm diameter cable. It terminates to a Switchcraft TA4-F connector for use with Shure wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What would it be like paired with the Zoom H6 ? I have to Sony ECM-MS2 and it sounds flat no bass almost like a mono sound.

A: The Sony ECM-680S M/S Stereo Shotgun Microphone is compatible for use with the Zoom H6 Portable Handy Recorder. For stereo audio on two channels, you would connect the mic to two XLR inputs on the H6 by using the included XLR 5-pin cable and an adapter such as the Sennheiser ACS5 5-pin XLR Female to Dual XLR Male Y Cable for MKH418S and MKE44P Microphones (B&H # SEACS5) or by using a cable like the RODE NT4-DXLR Stereo 5-Pin XLR to Dual 3-Pin XLR Cable for NT-4 Fixed X/Y Condenser Microphone - 10.3' (B&H # RONT4DXLRCBL) or the Remote Audio 5-Pin Stereo XLR Female to Dual XLR Male Y-Cable - 25' (B&H # RECAXSTE25).

Q: 2. How does this mic behave in humid recording conditions ?

A: This is a robustly built microphone, but SONY does not offer any weather or humidity ratings.

Q: 3. How long is the cable that it comes with?

A: The cable is 9.8 feet (3 meters).

Q: 4. What is the S/N ratio?

A: The RODE SoundField NT-SF1 Ambisonic Microphone has a signal to noise ratio of 77 dB.

Q: 5. In a video I saw they said that the mic comes with a pelican-style hard case but I don't see it listed here. Is there a hard case? If yes, what are the dimensions of the case? Thank you

A: The NT-SF1 comes in a full kit, including custom suspension shockmount, blimp-style windshield and furry wind cover. It is all shipped in a beautiful presentation box. A hard Pelican type case is not included.

Q: 6. how can I add a 50-foot cable to the NT-SF1?

A: I use 2 and 4 channel sub snakes with an XLR fanout at each end, typically 25' in length. Thats usually long enough. to reach a stage box. The fewer separate cables to run, the less to hide or tape down (and roll up).

Q: 7. Is the plugin Rode provides for processing the audio work with 32-bit files? Thinking about getting this to use with a MixPre 6 II.

A: Certainly can - no problem at all. This microphone is not digital and does not sample.

Q: 8. Will this work with the XLR-K3M

A: Yes, the Sony ECM-678/9X Shotgun Microphone is compatible for use with the Sony XLR-K3M Dual-Channel Digital XLR Audio Adapter Kit.

Q: 9. Will this work well with the Sony XLR-K3M and a Sennheiser 5 pin to 3 pin y cable for stereo inputs to Channels 1-2

A: Yes, the Sony ECM-680S M/S Stereo Shotgun Microphone could be used with the Sony XLR-K3M Dual-Channel Digital XLR Audio Adapter and 5-Pin to dual 3-Pin XLR cable in the manner described.

Q: 10. Hi. Tell me plz, can I record this mic output to the zoom h6? Thank you!

A: Yes, you can. You will record all four tracks separately and then in your DAW position each in the ambiosonic space you desire.
