The Countryman E6s Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation. The compact size and placement just in front of the ear make this microphone particularly well-suited for intimate theater and broadcast applications, or any use where low mic visibility is a key factor.
The omnidirectional pickup pattern provides a generous and forgiving pickup area around the perimeter of the capsule, while the stainless steel construction stands up to daily use, makeup, and sweat. The mic also comes with 3 different interchangeable caps that let you choose between a flat, bright, or very bright frequency response.
This version of the E6s is black and comes with a 1mm diameter cable. It terminates to a Switchcraft TA4-F connector for use with Toa wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Is there a Windscreen/ Foam Cover for this?
A: The RODE SoundField NT-SF1 Ambisonic Microphone comes with a furry wind cover included.
Q: 2. Is the plugin Rode provides for processing the audio work with 32-bit files? Thinking about getting this to use with a MixPre 6 II.
A: Certainly can - no problem at all. This microphone is not digital and does not sample.
Q: 3. What would it be like paired with the Zoom H6 ? I have to Sony ECM-MS2 and it sounds flat no bass almost like a mono sound.
A: The Sony ECM-680S M/S Stereo Shotgun Microphone is compatible for use with the Zoom H6 Portable Handy Recorder. For stereo audio on two channels, you would connect the mic to two XLR inputs on the H6 by using the included XLR 5-pin cable and an adapter such as the Sennheiser ACS5 5-pin XLR Female to Dual XLR Male Y Cable for MKH418S and MKE44P Microphones (B&H # SEACS5) or by using a cable like the RODE NT4-DXLR Stereo 5-Pin XLR to Dual 3-Pin XLR Cable for NT-4 Fixed X/Y Condenser Microphone - 10.3' (B&H # RONT4DXLRCBL) or the Remote Audio 5-Pin Stereo XLR Female to Dual XLR Male Y-Cable - 25' (B&H # RECAXSTE25).
Q: 4. Can this send separate M and S channels to the sound recorder for decoding later in post?
A: It's decoded inside the mic. All you need is a Y cable 5 pin XLR to two 3 pin XLR's. This is the cable B&H # RECAXSTE you can find it on the B&H website.
Q: 5. Has the interference issue been fixed?
A: Yes. The issues with RF interference had occurred with the initial production run of the Zoom M2 MicTrak Stereo Microphone and Recorder and has since been resolved.
Q: 6. whats the difference between the Sony ECM 678, now discontinued mic and the new Sony ECM 678/9x shotgun mic?
A: The available documentation from Sony shows identical specifications for both mics. The only mentioned difference would be in the included accessories, with the ECM-678/9x a short XLR cable is provided for connection to the camera.
Q: 7. Hello,It is possible to use this mic on spectacle, theater, contest, show that the loudspeakers are relatively close and or should not have feedback (Larsen) ?
A: Hi there! The ECM-322 is a headset ONMNI mic, and an Omni mic cannot (by design) isolate sound sources in a specific direction. If it gets strong enough signal, it will deliver that to the speaker and feedback will result. Good speaker placement is also key in this equation. The more you can get the mic/talent OFF speaker axis (farther from directly in front) - the more HF will be attenuated naturally and the whole system will be less sensitive to feedback. Best regards, Erin
Q: 8. I bought this mic, but I noticed that the channel 4 record level is significantly lower than 1-3. is this normal? or do I have a defective mic? I'm recording on a zoom F6 set for ambisonic recording.
A: It may be, but first make sure that each of the 4 input gain settings on the recorder are the same. If they are, just switch one of the known working channels to the one that seems to be lower and see if you get the same result. If so, you may have a defective mic.
Q: 9. Are there any mic flags that would fit over this?
A: At this time, there are no microphone flags that are compatible with the Zoom M2 MicTrak Stereo Microphone and Recorder (B&H # ZOZM2).
Q: 10. Will this work with the XLR-K3M
A: Yes, the Sony ECM-678/9X Shotgun Microphone is compatible for use with the Sony XLR-K3M Dual-Channel Digital XLR Audio Adapter Kit.
