Konus 8x42 Titanium Oh Binoculars

$299.97 $362.96

Built to withstand the rigors of the trail, the Konus 8x42 Titanium OH Binoculars feature anti-reflection fully multicoated optics and BAK4 roof prisms that produce bright and clear views and enhanced light-gathering ability over smaller objective optics, for use at dawn and dusk, or in areas with a thick canopy.

Complementing the optical performance is a textured rubber armored housing and nitrogen-filled optical tubes to give them a slip-resistant grip with water and fogproof performance. Their open bridge configuration reduces the weight without sacrificing strength while giving the hand a larger gripping surface.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does Opticron use eco-glass in their binoculars?

A: They come with extra-low dispersion (ED) glass.

Q: 2. what do you to clean the rubberized grips they are stickey?? yes

A: Please test a small unobtrusive area first: Try using a 70% isopropyl alcohol solution to remove the stickiness Toluene available from most home improvement stores may work better to remove the stickiness, but it is very flammable. It's a lack of polymerizer that causes the problem,. Sometimes a badly-polymerized batch from China will just turn to goo on you, but for partial cases, some boaters use 'french chalk', the powder gymnasts and rock-climbers put on their hands. After doing a lot of research and narrowing it down to three models: Zeiss Conquest, Vortex Razor and this one, I know I made the correct choice - Amazing optics, excellent construction and lightweight. The only negative? The case is terrible. Knowing this before purchasing, I added a Zeiss bag and Vortex harness.

Love my Leica Trinovid Binoculars! Awesome clarity and detail when viewing. Quality construction, well balanced and was worthwhile investment that shall last for generations. Also, Lou at B&H was very informative and patient while helping me with my purchase.

Excellent binoculars. I did the research and have now tried them in the field. They're exactly what I wanted. Bright, sharp image even in dim, shady woodland. Wide field, sharp to edge of image. Good eye relief & not too heavy.

I've been looking for general purpose/birding binos for awhile. Studied all kinds of charts and read any article I could find. IMO at $1k all major brands are going to perform very very good. Debated Zeiss conquest, Maven B1.2's, Nikon etc. Bottom line - I've owned a Leica M6/35mm Summilux camera for over 20 years and it's been bombproof. The Trinos have been around for 50 years and were chosen for Apollo 11 Moon mission. Leica knows optics. To my eyes, these produce some of the most beautiful views I've ever seen, especially when the sun is low. I'm sure other brands have certain advantages and disadvantages vs Trinovids, but when out on the trail, these simply delight.
