A: I've actually owned both. The Spartan more of a Octabank setup - you have to buy a speed ring and mount the poles inside on each use. The advantage is that the Spartan folds completely flat and will most likely last longer (less parts to break). The Spartan also comes with both an inner, outer, and a grid, but does not come with a speed ring.
