Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work for the Manfrotto 126BSUAC?

A: Yes.

Q: 2. What is the difference between this model and the very similar named 110 model (without the "G" after the 110)?

A: The 110 Casters has a slightly shorter foot brake versus the longer foot brake on the 110G. Both fit 22mm legs.

Q: 3. Will these casters fit on Manfrotto 032BASE Single Base for Autopole?

A: Yes, the leg of the Manfrotto 032BASE Single Base is round and 22mm in diameter. Check the Specifications tab for both products.

Q: 4. Do I have to permanently screw the nails to the legs? Because I would like to be able to take them off after each use because I have the 1000BAC that fold up and stack.

A: You can just tighten snug enough so they don't fall off, then loosen to remove. The locking function is to prevent the wheels from rotating when in use.

Q: 5. Will these fit my Manfrotto 420B Combi Boom Stand?

A: While the Manfrotto 109 Caster Set can work for the Manfrotto 420B, a better suited caster set is the Manfrotto 110 Braked Caster Set, B&H # MA110. With these casters, you can easily position your boom and lock it in place. Please see the image below for reference.

A: Yes, the Manfrotto 109 Caster Set is compatible with Manfrotto Alu Master Air-Cushioned Stand because the stand has 22mm diameter tubular legs.

Q: 9. Will this product fit impact heavy-duty, air cushioned light stands?

A: These Manfrotto 109 Casters will not fit an Impact Heavy-Duty Air-Cushioned Light Stand in the 9.6 ft or 13 ft sizes. The proper caster set is the Impact Locking 3-Caster Set for 25mm Legs, BH # IMLSALW25P https://bhpho.to/3DdzET3

Q: 10. Will this fit the Manfrotto 190go! carbon fiber tripod?

A: No, the Manfrotto 110G Locking Caster Set are for light stands not tripods. Tripods use dollies like this, https://bhpho.to/3BRFTfm .

I tried a pair of these at first since the reviews were not great. I believe people are installing them wrong. I have a couple of the 3 pack Impact heavy Duty stands and these work great with it and super secure. Needless to say, I have now 9 of these on all my stands with no issues at all. Just make sure they're installed correctly.

I've purchased wheels for all my heavy duty light stands. I find it to be the safest way move top heavy studio equipment. The wheels allow for fine adjustments to the location of lights without having to lift the base of the stand off the ground. The end result is the stands are less prone to toppling over. When choosing caster sets I always try to purchase the largest wheel diameter available. The larger the wheel diameter, the easier it is to roll over cables and imperfections in the floor. I also strongly recommend locking wheels to be sure the equipment stays exactly as you left it. In short, the investment in castors can help prevent accidents which can otherwise be quite costly when it comes to replacing expensive flashes and/or continuous lighting.

What I should have purchased along with the cine stand. I'm glad I went with the larger of the two sets, it makes rolling from different surfaces with a boom, light, and box effortless. Perfect.

Bought two sets for my Manfrotto boom stands. Casters are heavy, but solid. Manfrotto stands have a pre-drilled hole for the caster plastic tabs which have a slightly raised bump that fits in the hole to prevent the casters from twisting on the 22 mm tubing. The casters are attached with M6-1.00 metric screws with a flat-head. I replaced these with some hex screws for quicker installation & removal on location. Thumb screws would probably protrude too far and interfere with caster rotation. The 100mm (3.93) caster wheels make moving stands much easier, although they add significant height to your stands. The locking feature is nice too. Overall, great product.

So awesome, so smooth for movement, looks and unlocks as they should. Anyone who says they are tough, well they work as all should work. PERFECT!

These casters make a heavy C-stand easy to move around the studio. They are easy to install and have the ability to lock in place. Well made.

I got new heavy weight light stands (very pleased with them too) but obviously, to move a Key light (for example) with weights it would be an uncomfortable task. Enter the Impact Locking casters. Problem solved! Yes, you should read about how to set up your bottom light stand legs for the wheels to be leveled but I do not consider that a problem. On the contrary, it shortens the legs footprint which can be very large at full extension. Locking mechanism worked perfectly.

These are nice! I lucked into being gifted a Manfrotto superboom but it had no casters. I read the reviews here on B&H and went with these big boys. I'll tell you - Manfrotto thinks of everything. There is only one way they go onto the legs so their position is perfect. Operation is absolutely smooth.

These are great casters. Unfortunately, there are a couple of misleading negative reviews saying they don't work correctly. If you're having issues with the wheels spinning inward when you put weight on the stand, you're using the wrong type of stand. These are designed for traditional light stands ( B&H calls them general purpose stands ), NOT C-stands. The angle of the legs on C-stands is too steep to use these casters which is why there are casters made specifically for C-stands.

I bought a set of these a few years ago for an Impact Heavy Duty Air-cushioned light stand with a boom and heavy lamp. The wheels fit fine, but no matter how much I tightened them they eventually flopped over. I was continually having to reset and tighten them, and finally just removed them. Fortunately I did not throw them away. In a what-if moment I thought about inserting a layer double sided tape in the caster leg recess. It worked perfectly, no sliding around at all. (I realized later that I could have more easily wrapped the stand leg instead of fitting the tape strip into the caster recess.) I have since purchased two more sets for two other identical Impact stands. Rather than using double sided tape I used Scotch Interior Mount tape to cover the the face of the chrome pressure plate. (Another reviewer suggested gaffer tape which may also work, but it is not sticky on both sides.) It works just as well as my previous remedy and is a lot easier than the regular double sided tape. I don't know about other brands, but I can highly recommend these casters for the Impact Heavy Duty light stand.
