This Cavision 95mm Circular Polarizer Filter is designed for lenses with focal lengths of 70mm or less. It helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface. This results in a noticeable increase in the saturation of skies and foliage, as well as clearer imagery when photographing in hazy conditions. A circular polarizer differs from a linear polarizer in that it supports full use of a camera's autofocus and auto exposure functions.

This filter measures 95mm in diameter and is constructed from optical glass for maintained image quality.

Helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface.

Arrange and filter directionally polarized light perpendicularly to the reflected light allowing for the absorption of much of the light.

Lessens haze in distant landscapes and provides more saturated, vivid colors.

Strongest effect when used at a 90° angle from the sun.

Circular polarizers are ideal for use with digital cameras and autofocus lenses where a linear polarizer will often disrupt auto exposure and focus features.

Constructed from high quality optical glass.

Filter ring can be rotated to adjust the intensity of the polarization effect.

Designed for lenses with focal lengths of 70mm or less.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the widest focal length (in full frame) without vignetting?

A: The Tilta 95mm Circular Polarizer for Mirage Matte Box can support 24mm without vignetting on full frame.

Q: 2. what filter holder can be used with this filter?

A: I am using it in my Cavision matte box but any filter holder of those dimensions can be used. The 4x5.5 format is very common for filter holders on matte boxes although 3x3 and 4x4 holders also exist

Q: 3. What does it means that this filter " designed for lenses with focal lengths of 70mm or less. " Is ther any harm in using it with long telephoto lenses? Will it harm the image quality?

A: Anything above 70mm we don't recommend using the Circular Polarizer because you may not be able to achieve focus.

Q: 4. Can the we remove the polarizer and get a filter on this trey?

A: No, The filter is not designed to be removed from it's tray.

Q: 5. Will this 4mmm thick filter fit in the Lee Foundation Kit filter holder?

A: You would need to purchase the LEE Filters Side Guides for 4mm Thick Filters, B&H # LESG4, to use 4mm filters with the LEE Filters Foundation Kit Filter Holder. http://bhpho.to/1iXS5y5

Q: 6. Can this filter be screwed on a lens with 95mm filter thread (without using Evo P Series Filter Holder)?

A: The filter is only for use in a holder. For a 95mm lens, you would need this X-Pro size version: https://bhpho.to/3oGVzua Plus you would need this holder: https://bhpho.to/39rXyfr And this adapter: https://bhpho.to/35zB5Mw

Q: 7. Since this is a circular polarizer, does that mean the amount of polarization will be affected by the amount you rotate it?

A: Yes as you rotate it inside the filter holder purchased separately you set the amount of polarization. But you would rotate a linear polarizer the same way to set the polarization.

Q: 8. Is this filter multi-coated? What is the difference between this filter and the Hoya 43mm NXT Circular Polarizer Filter (B&H # HOCPN43 MFR # A-NXT43CRPL)?

A: This polarizer is not multi-coated. The difference between this filter and the NXT filter is that Hoya NXT filters have over 97% average light transmission, and are constructed from heat-resistant, high-transparency optical glass.

Q: 9. Anyone used this on the Venus Laowa 17mm f/4?

A: It will fit perfectly on the Laowa 17mm f/4 GFX Zero-D lens, but, with such a wide focal length, there's a possibility some vignetting may occur when using this filter.

Q: 10. What's the difference with the Cokin P164?

A: The main difference is that the P164 is a circular 84mm filter with no front threads while this EVO filter is a circular 95mm filter and has front threads.
