The tan Tram TR50 is a miniature omnidirectional lavalier microphone designed to deliver clear speech and dialog with a natural sound that mixes well with boom microphones, making it popular among professional sound recordists working in TV, film, broadcast, videography, and more.

The mic's omnidirectional polar pattern provides a generous 360° pickup response that helps to keep levels consistent, even if the talent turns and isn't speaking directly in the direction of the capsule. The flat, upward facing design allows the mic to be easily concealed while also helping it to resist clothing and rustling noises.

The TR50 features a 40 Hz to 16 kHz frequency response with a gentle 3 to 4 dB boost in the high frequencies for added clarity with minimum sound coloration, especially helpful if the mic is hidden behind clothing or fabric. This version of the TR50 is hardwired with a positive bias, a built-in TR79+ power supply, and an XLR connector—making it well suited for a wide variety of wired applications.

The mic is powered by 12 to 48V phantom power or the button-cell battery in the power supply. A tie bar, tie tac, clip-on holder, and tape-down holder are provided to help you mic up your subject. A windscreen, cable holder, cable reel, and carrying case are also included.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would this case fit a Broncolor Scoro A4s?

A: This case would not fit a Broncolor Scoro A4S pack. The Tenba AW-MLC Medium Lighting Case with Wheels (Black), B&H # TEAWMLC would be compatible and would also hold up to 2 flash heads. https://bhpho.to/3isoO0j

Q: 2. It doesn't work with or without battery? I have the same one and everything is fine even when I try to switch batteries. I normally run it on cable anyway. yesterday it worked and today nothing. i just purchased it from you (used one) but cant figure out whats wrong. please help.

A: It should work on the ac adapter or on the battery. Does it not power up at all? Is the bulb possibly just out?

Q: 3. What's the internal dimensions of this bag?

A: The interior dimensions of the Godox Carrying Bag for AD1200 Pro Battery Powered Flash System are 19" x 13" x 7" (48.26 cm x 33.02 cm x 17.78 cm).

Q: 4. Can the B1 500 modeling light be used to light video/ as a constant light source? using it this way means keeping the lamp on for long periods of time. Will it damage the unit or risk burning a light modifier like a soft box etc?

A: I suppose you could - it's pretty bright, although I've never used it for this purpose. The modeling light is an internal LED source, *not* the main strobe lamp, so it's much cooler - I don't think it would damage any modifier any more than an LED panel would.

Q: 5. What is the run time for the battery on a single charge at full power?

A: Run time for the light is about 45 minutes at full power.

Q: 6. How many padded dividers does this case come with?

A: It comes with two long padded dividers.

Q: 7. Hi I am contemplating buying the b1's, are there a list of compatible softboxes that aren't made by profoto?

A: The Impact Luxbanx Duo softboxes are excellent and are made for use with hot lights. Be sure to look only at the ones designated DUO .

Q: 8. How many recharge cycles does it take for the batteries to fail. I have heard that they loose approx 50% of their capacity after 50 recharge cycles?

A: Batteries do loose a percentage of their ability to hold a charge after they are cycled. I have not noticed any significant drop so far. These lights are the absolute best that I have used in the last 20 years. What a pleasure to work with.

Q: 9. Is the Lumens rating with the reflector on ?

A: Unfortunately, the manufacturer only provides a lux rating for this unit which is 10,083 at 3 feet.

Q: 10. I am traveling to Singapore, could I add my own dividers and use this case as regular camera bag?

A: You can use your own dividers in the Godox Carrying Bag for AD1200 Pro Battery Powered Flash System. But they just need to fit and work with Velcro.
