A: I have not used these yet, but here is the deal.1) You have to have a lens that has a ring to twist (like the zoom ring to zoom in and out, or the focus ring) that allows the aperture opening to be set manually, larger or smaller. The less expensive kit lenses that come with a camera will usually not have this.The more expensive extension tube sets have electrical connectors that make the connection between the camera body and the lens to drive the aperture motor in the lens. Because there is no electrical connection you will also have to focus manually, no auto focus.2) You then have to use the camera in Manual Mode or Aperture Priority Mode. In Manual Mode you use the built-in light meter of the camera to determine if you have the correct exposure (aperture opening and shutter speed).
