Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does the control range of 10degree means that I only have 5degree each side +-5 or the total of 20degree control range?

A: The Acratech Large Leveling Base allows 10 degrees of movement in any direction. This comes out to a total of 20 degrees from one extreme to the other.

Q: 2. I recently ordered the Benro Bat Zero Series Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod w/VX20 Ball Head. Would the Benro LBA2 Leveling Base be oversized for the base of the Bat Zero Tripod ?

A: Benro LBA2 Leveling Base has a base mount diameter of 60mm and the top plate has a diameter of 70mm. Benro Bat Zero Series Carbon Fiber Tabletop Tripod with VX20 Ball Head base mount is 40mm. However the size of the leveling base would not affect the stability of the tripod or the the head nor it would impact the load capacity and the legs possitions.

Q: 3. Is the load capacity REALLY 110 lbs? Most other leveling bases have load capacity ratings of around 25 lbs.

A: I would trust the spec sheet.

Q: 4. Is this compatable with the Rhino Carbon Fiber Three Series Travel Tripod with the VX30 Head, or is this oversized , I prefer an exact fit ?

A: While the Benro LBA2 Leveling Base can fit the Benro Rhino Carbon Fiber Three Series Travel Tripod with the VX30 Head, it would overhang the base plate.

Q: 5. Is this a fluid head?

A: No, the Sirui KV-10 Pan and Tilt Head with Leveling Base is a fine tunable pan and tilt head.

Q: 6. Hi, is this compatible with manfrotto MMXPROA3 (A4890056) Bought in Canada? Thanks

A: Sorry, Manfrotto does not list the Manfrotto XPRO Fluid Base as an accessory for this monopod.

Q: 7. Has anybody bought this to use with the GP ballheads (which already have a levelling feature)? My GP-SS when inverted should be able to do level panoramas but if I need to tilt the ballhead up or down (while maintaining a level pan) I believe this levelling base is required as the ballhead base would need to be levelled first in order to rotate on a level horizon.

A: The GP-SS is unique in that you can invert it and mount the camera on what is normally the bottom of the head. The advantage is the now-top of the head, because it is now sitting on a ball, is easily leveled for any purpose including panoramas.

Q: 8. Does the bottom mounting hole on this head have 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 threads?

A: The bottom the of the Sirui KV-10 Pan and Tilt Head with Leveling Base has a 3/8"-16 receiving point.

Q: 9. Is it possibly to adjust the drag setting on this? I used to own the older MVM500A which allowed me to increase the resistance. This allowed me to use less physical force to keep the camera upright i only needed to keep a couple fingers on it to keep it stable. Now this feels almost completely loose and offers little ball resistance to my FS7 (outfitted near barebones).Advice?

A: there is a slight drag setting. I have mounted my a7 on it and it balanced on its own though not sure if I would trust is as a replacement for a tripod. If your floor is not ridged or a slight wind blows it would knock over the setup. there is a tensioner for the fluidity of the angle.

Q: 10. What's the difference between this base and the Manfrotto MVA50A Fluid Base? I'm going to use it with my XPRO Monopod.

A: if you have an XPRO monopod, get the XPRO base. it screws in and was designed for the XPRO series. the older base attached differently. also, this base can lock perpendicular, which the older one couldn't do.
