The Countryman E6s Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation. The compact size and placement just in front of the ear make this microphone particularly well-suited for intimate theater and broadcast applications, or any use where low mic visibility is a key factor.

The omnidirectional pickup pattern provides a generous and forgiving pickup area around the perimeter of the capsule, while the stainless steel construction stands up to daily use, makeup, and sweat. The mic also comes with 3 different interchangeable caps that let you choose between a flat, bright, or very bright frequency response.

This version of the E6s is tan and comes with a 1mm diameter cable. It terminates to a Waterproof 2.5mm Sub-mini connector for use with Lectrosonics wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. The Rode VideoMic NTG Camera Mount Shtgun Micrphone include the Microphone adaptor for install in the Blackmagic Mini Pro 4.6 G2 Camera?

A: To connect the VideoMic NTG to an XLR input on that camera, you would need to purchase these two adapters BH #ROSC2 and BH #ROVXLR.

Q: 2. Is there a significant advantage to pairing this with a Zoom F6 vs the Zoom H6? Some context, it would be for audience recordings of stand-up comedy shows.

A: Yes. The Zoom F6 offers Ambisonics, WAV & MP3 Formats, 32-Bit Float recording to avoid clipping, and also offers the superior low-noise microphone preamps and wider dynamic range.

Q: 3. which is better for mukbang or asmr recording, VideoMic NTG or VideoMic Pro+?

A: It really depends on what the mic will be connecting to. When used with a camera, the NTG would be operating as an analog mic and functioning much like the VideoMic Pro+, producing comparable high-quality audio with similar features. The main difference for the NTG is the built in interface which enables you to connect it directly to a computer via the USB cable to operate as a digital mic. The VideoMic Pro+ can also be connected to a computer, but a separate USB interface is required. Both are excellent options for recording, podcasting or livestreaming, so you can't wrong with either mic.

Q: 4. Does my MacBook have to be open to use the mic? or can it be closed?

A: Yes, if you are recording audio on your MacBook using the VideoMic NTG, the MacBook does need to be open and powered on with DAW software working. The mic will not record to the computer if the computer is closed and sleeping.

Q: 5. I'm gonna use mic to record typing keyboard sound do you thing this or VideoMic Pro Plus works better?

A: The above would depend on the type of keyboard that is being used (the keys of some keyboards are louder than others), as well as the position of the microphone (the distance of the microphone to the keyboard/typist) and the input gain/volume setting of your microphone or camera. Both microphones should work fine for your stated usage needs as long as the microphone is close enough to the keyboard and the gain volume is set correctly. This should be easily managed if your camera or recorder has volume levels or allows you to monitor the sounds recorded by the microphone. Both options listed above a re good microphones and should work for your needs,

Q: 6. How long is the cable that it comes with?

A: The cable is 9.8 feet (3 meters).

Q: 7. How weather resistant is this mic?

A: It is not designed for wet conditions; it is not water-proof or water-resistant. There are not any temperature specifications listed on the RODE website. Recommend using in non-freezing conditions.

Q: 8. This great mic is even greater. It now comes with an SC-15 cable. ???

A: Yes, the Rode SC15 Lightning USB Type-C to Lightning Accessory Cable (B&H # ROSC15) and the Rode SC16 Straight USB Type-C to Right-Angle USB Type-C Cable (B&H # ROSC16) are now included in the box with the Rode VideoMic NTG Hybrid Analog/USB Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone along with the Rode SC10 Right-Angle 3.5mm TRRS Cable (B&H # ROSC10) and the SMR-7 Shock Mount.

Q: 9. Is there a way to connect this to the Rodecaster Pro? Not as a primary mic, but when you need that extra mic.

A: This can be connected to the Rodecaster Pro, but will require replacing the included cable with any 3.5mm trs to trs cable such as B&H # ROSC2, and an xlr adapter such as B&H # ROVXLR.

Q: 10. What case is recommended for this?
