The Marshall V-ZPL-1050 is a CS-mount pinhole lens with a manual zooming function for changing conditions or locations. With a 1/3" CCD camera the lens will display a 28° horizontal angle-of-view. At the other end of the spectrum, 50mm will show a narrow 5.5° horizontal angle. Aperture changes with focal length. At the maximum 50 mm the lens has a f/31 aperture (f-stop=focal length/1.6) so this is not a low-light lens at zoom range. But the lens is made for tough industrial environments. A push-on front cap has two functions. It has a clear tip to protect the lens' front element. The cap also integrates a mounting support.

Displays 28-5.5° Viewing Angle Range    f/2.5 Aperture at 10mm; f/31 at 50mm    Manual Zoom Function    Protective Front Cap with Mount Support    Designed for Industrial Environments    Also Works with 1/2" CCD

The Marshall V-ZPL-1050 is the manual version of this 10-50 mm industrial lens. The aperture is tied to the focal length so the f/ stop is also going to be manually operated. There is a motorized version of this lens called the V-ZPL1050-MZ. Either lens may be used with Marshall's remote pan-and-tilt system components.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this lens compatible with Canon T4i? if not, would Rokinon have any other 12mm 2.0 compatible with this camera?

A: No, only EF or EF-S lenses will work on a Canon T4i. Two similar lens options would be the Rokinon 12mm f/2.8 ED AS IF NCS UMC Fisheye Lens for Canon EF Mount or the Rokinon 14mm Ultra Wide-Angle f/2.8 IF ED UMC Lens For Canon. These are a bit slower at f/2.8 but, these are your only options if you want that focal length. Next widest focal length, for lenses faster than f/2.8, would be 24mm. At that focal length you have to choose from Canon, Sigma or Rokinon lenses.

Q: 2. can you give delails of lense sutable for canon mark 4 ?

A: This Rokinon 12mm lens is compatible with the Canon 5D IV: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1089934-REG/rokinon_12m_c_12mm_f_2_8_ed_as.html

Q: 3. what is the best way to protect the lens from harsh elements?

A: Clean it regularly and carefully.

Q: 4. Rokinon 12mm F/2.0 will it work for canon mark 4 ?

A: No. This is an EF-M mount lens meant for cameras like the M50 and M6 Mk II.

Q: 5. What's the procedure for using this lens with the Fujifilm X-E1? The lens instructions are inadequate.

A: This is a manual focus lens, so all focus and aperture settings will need to be done by the user.

Q: 6. Does this have a front filter thread and what size is it?

A: The Sony ALC-SH166 Lens Hood for FE 40mm f/2.5 G Lens and FE 50mm f/2.5 G Lens has a 49mm filter thread on the front.

Q: 7. Since this is a MFT lens, will there be any cropping on a GH4?

A: Yes. It is an APSC designed lens with a M43 mount. So it will have a 24mm view on M43.

Q: 8. does this fit a sony rx100v?

A: This case would have a very tight fit for the Sony RX100V.

Q: 9. I noticed that there is a Samyang with the same specs (12mm f/2.0 NCS) etc... Considering they are the same actual manufacturer, does anyone have experience to say if there is actually any difference between these two lenses?

A: The one you mentioned is Not full frame and the other one is f2.8 and is full frame. The full frame version can do the smaller frame but the one you mention can only do the smaller frame.

Q: 10. Can I use this lens on a canon 80d

A: No, this lens will not work with the Canon 80D. This lens is designed for the Canon EF-M mount. The 80D requires lenses that support the EF/EF-S mount.
