A: Please note that the Sony A1 camera will not work with CFexpress B cards. If you lower the bitrate to 200m the recording time would go up to about 1h 25m. Q: 7. In specifications, manufacturers leave the elephant in the room out. How many write cycles are supported by the card? I saw a very durable for industrial purposes with high mil-spec numbers and 3,000,000 MTBF, but the flash memory will not survive 3,000 write cycles. Another vendor I asked about TBW and they answer "enough". In short: how many write cycles do these "Tough" cards sustain?

A: According to Sony they state that unfortunately, they have no information on the maximum approximate number of write cycles for their Sony 128GB CFexpress Type B TOUGH Memory Card.

Q: 8. Hey there! A quick question on the Sony CFExpress type A tough cards. Have a Sony A7S III and considering M verse G series. The main difference being the minimum sustained write speed. Are there any recording modes on the A7S III that would create issues on the M series card ?! Frequently record in the higher bit rate modes including 4K 120. Occasionally 1080p at 240fps. Any recommendations on M vs G series and whether the M series can handle everything?? Thank you in advance!

A: You would have no data rate issues using the Sony 960GB CFexpress Type A TOUGH Memory Card with the Sony a7S III Mirrorless Camera (BH #SOA7S3). When shooting with the highest settings the Sony a7S III Mirrorless Camera will not exceed the M card's sustained 200 MB write speed.

This card is the best to use in an FX6/FX9, with no issues the super quality card works well with the FX6 I plan to buy another one just in case. But this holds up even on the fx6 with 4k slog3

Super fast. They are smaller than SD cards but way more durable. I don't see any need for the much bigger type B or C cards as these can effortlessly keep up with 50MP at 30FPS RAW. Overpriced in my opinion but still worth it until third parties have options on the market.

I've gotten used to media being expensive since I have owned various cinema camera packages in the past (ARRI, RED, etc). This is fairly pricey when using it with a lower cost camera like an FX3, but it works like a charm. I was able to record 4K 60p on the FX3 and it worked as expected. I also did some tests and the XAVC S-I definitely works much smoother on my computer than XAVC S (at the cost of more data), so I definitely think these cards are necessary to alleviate computer power in post. Knowing I can record various modes on this card without worrying about what an SD card's rating is a good for peace of mind when working on any project.

The main reason why I purchased this item was to save me time while uploading the memory card to my hard drive. Makes my job easier when I don't have to wait as long. Glad I made this purchase, despite the hefty price tag.
