I use Arc Swiss Compatible plates on the other one for the camera body when used with all other lenses that do not have tripod mounts.

A: I just bought the MVH500AH and mounted it on my Befree (Aluminium). It fits perfectly and I can't complain except for the fact that the Befree may be a tiny bit too light for video work in the field (but I'm really satisfied so far). As for your carbon fiber, I wouldn't know; maybe it'll be too light or maybe you'll find a way. But to answer your original question: yes it will work with the Manfrotto Befree.
