The effect is produced by a series of thin lines etched into the flat optical surface of a clear filter

The size and brightness of the star lines produced are first a function of the size, shape, and brightness of the light source: You have additional control through the choice of a particular spacing between the lines on the filter

These spacings are measured in millimeters and range from 1mm to 4mm: A 1mm spacing has twice as many lines as a 2mm spacing and will produce a brighter star for any given source

A: Anything is possible but since the fabric on the plate is fitted without elastic, I would guess that you would have to cut the fabric and the speed ring to replace would have to be about the same size. !!

Q: 9. IS it possible to mount a Godox AD200 unit to this?

A: I'm just guessing here, but I'm going to guess no. The dimensions of the Godox head (3 x 2 ) will fit in the Rapidome, but it looks like the unit isn't tall enough to get there. The Rapidome is designed for a traditional flash unit fixed to the Rapidome's hot shoe mount in a standard 90-degree position (as you would normally mount it on a camera). That puts the flash head about 3.5 inches above the Rapidome hot shoe mount. It looks like the Godox doesn't have a hot shoe, and can't be raised up to that 3.5 height from whatever bracket to which it's mounted.

A: If you are referring to a light scoop as a device that provides indirect lighting, then no, the above modifier would not work as a light scoop. Light scoops are typically angled in front of a light source to prevent light from directly striking your subject, therefore, providing indirect lighting to illuminate your subject. A grid is designed to be connected to a light source and aimed directly at your subject for extremely directional, focused lighting (similar to a spot light). Grids are not used for indirect lighting; as they block light from heading in any direction other than straight from the source, they are extremely directional and must be aimed directly at the subject to be lit.
