Q: 1. Will the BE-117 work with Really Right Stuff L-Brackets, which I have on all of my cameras? The RRS is Arca-compatible, but there is some confusion as to the BE-117's Arca compatibility.

A: I have a RRS stuff L-Bracket on my D800 and it doesnt have any issues with this ball head.

Q: 2. I currently have an Oben AC-1400 tripod with BA-00 ball head. which one of these three ball heads ( Oben Be-117, BA-108 and BA-108T) is compatible ?

A: The RP-10 release plates fits the following heads: BA-108, BA-111, BA-113, BA-108T, BA-111T, BA-113T, BA-00, BA-00T, BA-0 & BA-0T. This suggests the BA-108 or BA108T head are compatible but the BE-117 is not.

Q: 3. What have been people's experience with this unit?

A: The feedback we have received on the BE-108 Ball Head and CWM-01 Car Window Mount Kit has thus far been positive.

Q: 4. Why is an Allen key included with this unit? It has a knob to tighten the unit to the window?. Is it for the ball head? But the ball head plate has a D ring. ???

A: The Allen key is for tightening the set screws to lock the ball head to the window mount base.

Q: 5. Is there a way to ensure that the ball head doesn't come off when the panning feature is being used?. Are there screws from the window mount that "screw into" the ball head aside from the female? I notice that there are some protrusions from the window mount . Do those screw into the ball head? I am concerned that the ball will come off!! Thanks.

A: The BE-117 and Oben Car Mount designed to come off with adequate force in order for you to potentially replace the ballhead with something else. If you would like it to be permanently attached, we recommend using a very strong (and very permanent) thread sealants like Loctite, which you can acquire from hardware stores.

Q: 6. Can you turn the top clamp 90 degrees for either a camera base or for a tripod collar foot?

A: You can turn the ball sphere at a 90 degree angle. As for lenses with a tripod collar, those normally rotate 90 degrees directly without having to move the ball sphere on the head.

A: This extension replaces the 18 arm that is already attached to the Chimera Standard or Compact Light Boom.

Q: 8. Can I use this to shoot video while driving?
