Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can I use a short extension cord between my computer and the input socket of this unit to get around the limited spacing of the outlets? Or will the extra cord limit the protection?

A: Additional cords may prevent protection. It is one extra item that can fail and hurt your equipment.

Q: 2. I just received and it went from 119 to 121,is that normal? then back to 119 and stayed there

A: Yes electricity fluctuates this is normal for Furman to read out like that.

Q: 3. Will this help the "sine wave" wave form from an high quality portable generator ?

A: This is designed to regulate the incoming voltage from a power source to be consistent, as well as reduce hum or noise emanating from that source.

Q: 4. can this be plugged into a standard generator, not an inverter based generator?

A: No need to invest in an inverter generator for this transformer. A standard conventional generator should work fine.

Q: 5. Will this work on home stereos and reduce the hiss/hum coming from the speakers when no input is selected just everything powered on. Guessing its from the amplifier. Thanks

A: You can give it a try but more than likely you have other issues (e.g., grounding; interconnection; equipment like your amp) causing the hiss and hum.

Q: 6. Is this product CSA or c-UL approved?

A: Furman lists this unit as cTUVus certified. For additional information please contact Furman directly at 877-486-4738 or info@a href= http://furmansound.com target= _blank furmansound.com/a

Q: 7. what king of warranty/guarantee does this product have?

A: This product comes with a 3 year manufacturer warranty

Q: 8. Will the 5000w work in Europe from 220v to110v I have appliances from USA and I need to transform the voltage from 220v to 110v

A: I recently bought same and believe it will work. Good luck

Q: 9. Does this come wired with a standard US 3 prong plug?

A: Yes it does. 3 prongs. If you need to plug this to a 2-prong outlet, then you would need the 2-prong adapter.

Q: 10. Will this run a 220v. 4300watt. 30amp espresso machine for 3-4hours? Off a 110v 15amp outlet at a backyard house for a wedding event?

A: No, it won't. Source can only handle up to 1650W. The circuit breaker cannot handle the load.

The rack mounted LCR2400 is replacing a like used unit which I purchased back in 2005. I believe the failure of that unit is the 20A Circuit Breaker but because it had been a previously used unit, I elected to purchase new instead of performing parts replacement. With 14 outlets and a small footprint, this model provides connection for all my home theater electronics plus spares. I was pleased to see Tripp-Lite continuing to refine the product line with LED indicators along with added LINE Fault sensing. Great product - would buy again when needed.

Our power is prone to noise and, lately, over voltage swings. Was using a well rated line filter that also provided over voltage protection; when the voltage reached the threshold it would shut down. Unfortunately, that meant not being able to listen to my stereo!

Added a Furman P-1800 AR and the problem was immediately solved. No more over voltage shutdowns. The filtering is also improved. Noticeably less hash which means improved clarity.

Wasn't planning on spending this much on a solution, but am very happy I did.

we were having problems with one of out machines, getting errors constantly had the technician from the manufacturer come out for a service call he told us the unit was ok he could find nothing wrong he suggested that we purchase a LCR 2400 we did and all of our problems are gone. Just Like That! great product.

I just bought a replacement for the unit protecting my TV,etc. I have had 3 units since the early 90s. I use them to protect my sound equipment in a band. You never know the quality of the power system your plugging into at various locations, including occasionally generator power. I converted one unit to TV at home use when I bought a 61" HD TV in 2003. We are in the country and the voltage fluctuates a lot. Occasionally I have to run a generator when power is out. My TV use LCR2400 has been continuously on since 2003. The voltage indicators are often fluctuating. This unit recently took a hit (lightning surge) and won't come back on. It protected the equipment downstream, exactly as it is supposed to. I got my money's worth.

Posting for those that may be curious. I'm not much of a posting review type of guy, but I must say that I am completely 100% impressed and satisfied with the performance of the P1800 AR Power conditioner. I connected two Bose L1 M2 units with B1's on each, one Pioneer DJM-800, Two Pioneer CDJ-450, one Audio-Techinca 4100 Wireless mic, Two Apple 15 Laptops and used the charging port for my phone. After connecting everything and turning the system on, the first thing I noticed was how quiet the Bose Towers were, no hum or annoying like noise. Throughout the night, the volume remained consistent and more importantly crystal clear even when pushed to high volumes. With everything driving, I never got above 3.2 amps the entire night. It is such a good feeling to have peace of mind knowing that your power is running at a consistent 120v.

I maintain a remotely controlled EMS radio site that is deep in a national forest. Power there is either too low a voltage, or too high, and rarely correct. The LCR2400 does a great job in compensating for the changing voltage, and protects about $40K worth of radio equipment. It has worked 24/7 for over two years with no problems. Highly recommend it !!

Great product! It's convenient to have 20 amp rating and having 14 outlets. Serves perfect for all my gear and has cleaned up the sound to what I had expected. Fantastic price for the value. I recommend this LCR2400 line conditioner to all that are staying on a precise budget. This product gets an A+ from me. Thanks Tripplite!! Sincerely, Al Ciriello

If you're serious about your sound or audio signal this is a must...!!!! No more hums or clicks. Protect your hard earned investment from electrical spikes, sags and drops in power. You owe it to your sensitive electronic equipment. It delivers a consistent power and protects your gear from electrical interferences also. This is also a must if you live in an old building or apartment building. Your neighbor's hair dryer won't be heard in your signal. You can now silence the hum.
