Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How can I use this with strobe? Will it work or is it to slow?

A: This item is a shutter release. If you have a radio transmitter in the hot shoe and a receiver on the light you can use this item to release the shutter which will trigger the lights.

Q: 2. Work with EOS 5D IV?

A: i believe so. if you go to canon's website it tells you about the compatibility.

Q: 3. Is there a set amount of photos the intervalometer is able to capture for a timelapse? Some intervalometers only allow 399 photos. I would like this to continue taking photos until the camera is dead or I run out of room on my memory card.

A: There is no limit, only card space and battery life.

Q: 4. Canon Website say’s it works with the 6DMarkII, but I read here it doesn’t! What’s true?

A: The Canon TC-80N3 Timer Remote Controller will work with the Canon 6d II as long as the connector is the "3 pin" connector.

Q: 5. Is this compatible with the canon R?

A: The Canon TC-80N3 Timer Remote Controller is not compatible with the Canon EOS R Mirrorless Digital Camera. You need to get the Vello ShutterBoss II Timer Remote Switch for Canon with Sub Mini Connection. Here is the link: https://bhpho.to/3h6W4fa

Q: 6. If I attached my flash to my Canon 5DM3, and use this trigger, will it take the photo as well as fire the flash?

A: BTW, the modified TC-80N will also work with the 60D.

Q: 7. I was wondering if this Canon timer remote controller TC-80N3 is compatible with the Canon PowerShot G1X Mark 3 camera. Thank You!

A: I have a Canon 70D. I bought this Canon intervalometer and was irritated that the adapter to fit my camera was not included. I thought it was disingenuous not to include the adapter or tell us specifically what cameras are or are not included. I returned it and am still irritated. T

Q: 8. I would just like to clarify a response from a previous question What is the maximum exposure count? The Canon TC-80N maximum exposure count is 99 exposures at one second intervals. Would this also allow 99 exposures at other intervals eg can it take 99 photos, of 30 second shutter exposure, 5 minuts apart? I understand the shutter speed would be set via the camera - I'm just keen to understand any limitations before i buy it. thanks.

A: The remote can be set to shoot at a maximum duration of 59 seconds 59 minutes and 99 hours. You can set it to shoot up to 99 frames or if you leave it set to 00 it will shoot till the time is up or the memory card is filled.

Q: 9. Is this compatible with the Canon EOS-1D X?

A: Yes. I've used it in my 1DX without any problems.

Q: 10. Best remote for Canon EOS R

A: There are many choices of remotes for the EOS R. The EOS R takes a sub mini connection from wired to wireless, timer and non timer. You can view your choices by clicking the link below; https://bhpho.to/2l3wCxs
