Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Looking for a bag for D5600 body with these lenses: Nikon 10-24, Nikon 18-55, Nikon 70-300 and Sigma 50. Does the Domke F-6 fit? or, the Domke next generation metro messanger? or, please let me know if you have any other suggestions. Thanks

A: Hi Daisy,This is great little bag to move quickly with. Plan out what you need carefully. I keep 4 lens, d810 with a battery grip and a d610 body without a grip (back up body). Lens I carry are 135 f2 DC, 85 1.8, 35 f2 and 50 f1.4. If I need a strobe Ill just take one less lens and put the strobe in its place. Depending on the shoot. The only lens Im not sure about is your 70-300. Not sure on which one you have. Might have to put that one on the front pouch. But youll be surprised what you can put in that bag. Good luckBest,Pete

Q: 2. I see folks saying their iPad mini will fit in the back pocket...but has anyone fit an iPad Pro in there?

A: An iPad mini will fit in that pocket.

Q: 3. Will this bag hold the "Domke DSLR Camera Insert" (a Domke replacement/extension product)?

A: The Domke DSLR insert is too large to fit in the F-6 bag. The F-6 comes with this insert already: https://bhpho.to/2Pkqcby

Q: 4. Is the shoulder strap removable?

A: The smaller strap is, but not the larger one in the picture, unless you cut it off. You can make the strap pretty short so it's just mostly across the top of the bag. It is however a terrific bag. I have it in a couple of sizes.

Q: 5. Would the bag hold the Sony A6100 with 16-50MM lens, grip all sitting in landscape configuration. Not flat?

A: Yes the Domke F-6 Little Bit Smaller RuggedWear Shoulder Bag is large enough for the A610o with battery grip attached and the Sony E PZ 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS Lens attached in landscape. (not flat).

Q: 6. Will this bag hold a D7500 with 18-300 lens attached? Rearrange the interior of course. Prefer the camera and lens lay horizontal in the bag. Maybe on one side but prefer not. Grab and go bag, used Domke before. Thanks.

A: Yes, you can fit the Nikkor AF-S DX 18-300mm lens mounted on the D7500 in the Domke F-6 Little Bit Smaller Bag (Black).

Q: 7. Will it hold a 5D Mark III with a Tamron 17-50 attached, a Canon 100-400, and Canon 70-200? I spend a lot of time at Wildlife Refuges and never know what I may need. Thanks

A: Hi William,You could use this bag with the rig you described; the two large telephotos on each end, and the camera with lens attached in the center. But that would be it; especially if you have the tripod collars on the lenses and lens hoods as well. They would protrude a little towards the top but that wouldn't be a problem since the top flaps over and hooks closed. There's no padding on this bag at all, which is great if you want to keep it light as possible, and there is a roomy front pocket for cables and batteries and such, so if you're just out for a short trip and dont need a lot of extra equipment, i'd say it would do the trick. But I wouldn't recommend it for a long shoot in Africa where dust and protection of equipment is an issue.

Q: 8. Is the bag itself padded somewhat well or just the insert?

A: The bottom of the bad is lightly padded, but the sides are not.

Q: 9. Where is this bag manufactured?

A: According to the information we have, our current inventory's Country of Origin is USA. Please be aware this can change over the product's production life without notice.

Q: 10. Is the F6 currently made in USA?

A: Yes, the Domke F-6 is made in the USA.

I have long been a fan of Domke bags. The Ruggedware F-6 is replacing one that was purchased in 1989 and has seen constant heavy use, a testament to their durability! The Ruggedware fabric and finish may not seem as heavy or tough as the conventional canvas fabric, but it actually is proving more abrasion-resistant so far, and the waterproof finish has kept my kit nicely dry in a couple of New Mexico summer monsoons (I was soaked!). The bag sits comfortably against my hip, unlike stiffer Cordura bags that protrude in a boxy fashion, and the canvas fabric of Domkes does not abrade my pants as do the bags made out of nylon. And, finally, these bags (particularly in the Ruggedware finish) don't scream camera bag with all the unwanted attention that might bring. One gripe: the flap clasps are a little slow and awkward to use. On the other hand, there's no Velcro to grab clothing or nylon webbing camera straps. An acceptable compromise for me.

Carring my d700 and a couple of lenses while in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The group I was with got caught in a down power. Not a dry sticth of clothes on any of us. By the time we got out of the rain I had eveyone's cell phone in the bag with my camera. Everything in the bag stayed dry. Needless to say I was very happy and suprised. Uses this bag as an everyday bag with the F1-X to carry and store the rest of my gear.Great look great smaller sized bag. No regrets and very happy with this bag

I use this bag with my 7D canon, 50mm, 15-85mm, accessories and it works great. I had some leftover padding from my last case that I added for some additional protection to my canon body, but what it comes with is suitable. I don't keep my camera lens mounted while in this case, but you could probably figure out a way to make this possible.

I really like this bag I use it for my XT1 with three lens assorted filter and other stuff .it's the rugged version I like it because it doesn't stand out and is well made.lt weights about half what my old back pack bag did With the same gear in it.

I do a lot of Street Photography ... I use a Canon 1D4 (not exactly a standard camera of this type of stuff, but it works well) I usually have either a 16-35 2.8 or my 24-105mm lens. Thats it - just my camera and one lens. All I wanted was a small bag that would hold the camera with lens attached - with maybe a little space for a cleaning kit. I keep the camera on its side with the right side grip upward, so I can easily grab it. There is not a whole lot of room for other stuff and thats exactly why I bought this bag. This is not a gear junkie's bag, but if your in Rehab, this is a great bag for you. It comes with a padded liner, which I cut one side off, and folded it. I use it as a base to raise and protect the lens. The included wax does help improve rain protection, but this is NOT the bag to take into bad weather. If your applying the wax, do follow the instructions - which are on the base of the wax can, and kinda-sorta melt the wax onto the bag with a hair dryer - maybe if THEY did it, the bag would cost $ more, but if gives the bag a cool kinda weathered look.

I can carry a body, four lenses, a table top tripod and several other accessories with room to spare. Well built and reasonably light weight.

I have used an original Domke bag since Jim Domke first brought them to market. (Was it in the 1970's?) When I decided I needed a second, slightly smaller bag for some new digital gear, the choice was easy. The new bag appears to be as sturdy and well-designed as my older one. I will eventually figure out how to lengthen the shoulder strap; too bad there were no instructions included. Nevertheless, I am very pleased with my new bag;
