A: Just measured mine. It is perfectly square, 1 5/8 on the bottom, 1 2/8 on the top. It is 3/8 deep from top to bottom. It has a small pin to secure a camcorder. I don't use the pin, so I covered it with a piece of tape. The part is well-made. I should add that I got mine with a Vanguard ball head which I don't recommend. The head doesn't lock anymore after just a couple years of very sparse use. No matter how much you tighten it, it slips.I was in B&H yesterday, and the store copy was the same! Looked nice, good value, didn't hold up. So no more Vanguard for me. But the plate should be OK, just keep a coin around to attach it to the camera. Hope this helps!

A: I would say no. The RRS arca Swiss mount on my camera is 1.500 wide and this plate is 1.646 wide. Also the angle on this plate is more vertical than the angle of the arca swiss locking groove. However this plate will mount will attach to my arca mount giving me the option of running the lighter vanguard tripod instead of my heavy arca tripod. On the up side, this plate is really inexpensive allowing you try it out without a lot of loss. Your arca clamp may get wide enough to grip it, but my first thoughts are still gonna be no.

A: As long as the dimensions are the same they should work. I have found that often the difference in part numbers is a round hole vs a slotted hole, or std vs tool free nut. Most of them seem to be interchangeable. Also if you look up the part number for your head, it will give you a list of compatible plates.
