A: Technically there is no problem. However... The purple reflections really make this lens unusable on the Olympus omd-em5 II. Half of the photos taken with the combo are affected. I gave up on this lens, you try to reframe your shot, thinking you control the problem only to find out that there are still people spots... Reframing to avoid lens problems is not a real artistic thing to do... The Olympus 7-14 is of course more expensive but at least you will use the lens.

A: The Yashica UMatic Power accepts standard / double 8 mm film and the Kodak Ektachrome 100D Color Transparency Film #7294 (Super 8, 50' Roll) is super 8 film so this will not work. The Foma Fomapan R100 Black and White Transparency Film (Double Standard 8mm, 32.8' Reel) BH #FOR1002XS810 MFR #411801 will work.

A: Unfortunately we do not carry the replacement lens cap for the 7-14mm lens, but I was able to find the name of the lens cap: Panasonic VFC4412. You would have to search for that item elsewhere to find a replacement for your lens.

A: Its an integrated hood to protect that large glass and shield it from light. Its actually engineered very carefully to allow the widest possible field of view while still avoiding lens flair which wide angles are notorious for.

Q: 8. Can this be used with DSLR cameras? Do I need a special plate to attached to that kind of camera or will the enclosed plate work?

A: The FLYCAM 5000 Stabilizer with Sliding QR Platform, Table Clamp, Arm Brace, and Comfort Arm & Vest can easily handle a DSLR. The attachment plate in in the box.

A: I experience purple lens flare with the lens on a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. Happens with bright natural lighting such as windows in the periphery of the shot.
