With Celestron's 8-24mm Zoom Eyepiece you can quickly and easily go from a low magnification to high-power with a simple twist instead of taking valuable observation time to change eyepieces and filters. At the low magnification setting of 8mm its wide 60° field of view allows you to easily find your subjects or enjoy expansive views, and when dialed up to the high setting of 24mm the angle of view is still an impressive 40-degrees. Anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics ensure bright and clear high-images at any magnification, with true color rendition. The eyepiece is designed to fit any 1.25" diameter drawtube or accessory, and its slip-resistant textured collar ensures safe handling - especially in the cold or when wearing gloves - and allows for precise focal length selection. Finally, a fold-down eyecup makes for comfortable viewing with or without eyewear.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I use this for meade LX 90 12 inch telescope?

A: Yes, along with the Meade #607 25' (7.6 m) Cigarette Lighter Adapter BH #MEPCDCETX • MFR #07043 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/202533-REG/Meade_07043_607_25_7_6_m.html

Q: 2. Does the above Celestron Power Tank come with the cord I need to plug it into the power supply and my Meade Telescope? Or do I need something else to use this power supply? Celestron Power Tank (12-Volt, 7-Amp Power Supply, 110/220V)

A: The Celestron Power Tank comes with a 12 V D/C cord to power a Celestron telescope. That's all I can tell you - I know nothing about a Meade Telescope, or any other telescopes for that matter. Good Luck!

Q: 3. What is the Ah rating of the battery?

A: Ah is the amp-hour rating for this 12 volt batery. It's rated 7 Ah which gives you an idea of its max capacity. So, you will need to make sure that you use it for loads that draw under this 7 amp level. So a good rule of thumb is to cut the rating in half. For this battery, you divide the 7 in half and get 3.5 amps. This means that you an charge or operate a device that is 3.5 amps for 2 hours.Or, more realistically, you can charge or operate a device that draws say 0.5 amps for 7 hours., (0.5ampsx7 hrs= 3.5amps). Get the idea? I was using this to operate my smaller telescope mounts that drew about 0.2 amps. This allowed many hours without worries of power outage. But more recently, I bought a larger mount that draws 0.3 amps during normal tracking, but up to 4 amps for fast speed slowing. After about 2 hours I was getting power interrupts. This really was bad for my long exposure photography that requires 3-5 hours for continual tracking.Anyway, hope this helps you understand Ah ratings. Regards,Dino

Q: 4. how you connect the power tank to the next Start 8 telescope?

A: Celestron Car Battery Adapter (25'/7.7 m) BH #CECBAU2000 • MFR #18769 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/201890-REG/Celestron_18769_Car_Battery_Adapter_25_7_7.html

Q: 5. Will adding a DSLR camera to the supplied eye piece change the focal length of the system?

A: No it will not. The Focal Length will stay the same.

Q: 6. Will this work on the Star Watcher 2i polar alignment scope?

A: Unfortunately no, it is for use with a telescope or spotting scope but not a polar alignment scope.

Q: 7. How would this be for casual astronomy: Jupiter, Saturn, Moon, etc....?

A: Awesome for casual astronomy, you can see the rings og saturn and the four largest moons of jupiter. At full magnification the moon is large and crisp, extremely fascinating. Very little in the way of chromatic abberation even on the full moon. Smooth and easy to use focus, both focus wheels. However, the size and weight of the scope does require a very sturdy tripod. The scope is highly recomended :)

Q: 8. I have a Gimbel head for my tripod that I use with my camera. Will this head work for the Regal M2?

A: The Celestron Regal M2 100ED Spotting Scope with 22-67x Eyepiece (Angled Viewing), BH # CERM2100EDSS, should work with most gimbal heads that feature a standard 1/4"-20 threaded male stud and can accommodate a payload of at least 7 lbs.

Q: 9. Is this compatible with celestron 20x80 binoculars

A: Yes, the Celestron DX 1.25" Smartphone Digiscoping Kit should be compatible with Celestron 20x80 binoculars.

Q: 10. Can you plug a standard Edison plug into this?

A: I don't see anywhere to plug a standard 110 v plug into.
