From Applied Microphone Technologies (AMT), the WS clarinet microphone is unique in design and function. The microphone mounts to the clarinet and features 2 cardioid microphone elements, each attached to flexible goosenecks. The elements are designed to be positioned at the bell and keys of the clarinet.

The dual miking technique results in a natural, authentic reproduction of the instruments mechanics as well as the sound produced from the bell. The elements feature cardioid polar patterns, which suppress residual noise and audio signal at the off-axis sections of the capsule. The microphone connects to a separate beltpack that provides the output stage and power. The WS clarinet microphone operates on 12-52 Volt phantom power.

The WS features dual cardioid microphone elements to capture signal from the bell and keys of the clarinet.

The dual capsules are mounted on goosenecks for flexible, easy microphone positioning.

An external beltpack is wired to the microphone and provides a standard XLR output as well as variable impedance level. The size of the beltpack is convenient for use in performances.

The cardioid polar patterns greatly reduce residual noise and feedback at the off-axis sections of the microphone capsule.

The mounting clasp provides a firm grip without damaging the finish of the instrument.

Q: 1. Can I go USB to 3.5 mm male to my audio in on a6500 and monitor sound on the shotgun?

A: This would be cnnected to your camera via the 3.5mm not USB There is no monitoring abilities on ths mic.

Q: 4. Is this any different (optically, for one) than the old Samyang/Rokinon 14mm f2.8 ED AS IF UMC?

A: This Samyang MF 14mm f/2.8 WS Mk2 Lens has three high refractive index elements, which all combine to reduce spherical and chromatic aberrations and color fringing, as well as improve sharpness, clarity, and color accuracy.

Q: 5. When Zachariah answered Matthew (the very first question), Zach didn't understand the question. Matthew is asking if the photos here at B&H are showing the actual version of the lens that mounts to E mount because an adapter is needed to mount DSLR lenses to Sony or the adapter is built-in to the lens such that a lens for Sony e-mount is longer than a lens for Nikon or Canon DSLR. Matthew is not asking about a teleconverter. Is the lens shown here at B&H actually the Sony E mount version? I don't see how that is possible. So is the 4" dimension listed in the specs for the Sony version or SLR version of the lens? B&H lists the length of the lens as 3.96" for both the Sony E mount and the Canon EF version, and I don't see how that is possible.

A: The lens shown is the Sony version, this lens will mount directly to any Sony E mount camera. This lens and the Canon are same size as well. The Canon option is the EF-M version which would be for the crop sensor Canon mirrorless, not any of the DSLRs.

Q: 6. Is Samyang 14mm f/2.8 MK2 compatible with Canon EOS 200D APS-C sensor body?

A: Yes this lens is compatible with the Canon EOS 200D apsc sensor body.

Q: 7. Can you adjust the iris manually?

A: Yes this has a manual ring for focus and one for the aperture.

Q: 8. Where is this mic made? (In Australia, like other Rode products?)

A: The Rode NTG5 Moisture-Resistant Short Shotgun Microphone is manufactured in Australia.

Q: 9. IS THIS TOO HEAVY N UNBALANCED FOR A GIMBAL ?

A: The weight of this is a very small number some where south of 5.6 oz. Whether or not it works depends of course on the gimbals's capacity. However, it is our opinion that it should work fine with most gimbals. If you have further application questions, please email us. provideo@a href= http://bhphoto.com target= _blank bhphoto.com/a
