Q: 1. Can it be used on its side, so that it is 12 high and 8 wide? In that orientation, it is the perfect size for a heavy-ish darkroom slot processor I need to keep off the floor with 12 of room to empty chems back into bottles.
A: It's pretty sturdy. I'm not sure it's a great choice though as on end it may not have a large enough base to defend against someone running into it. It's solid and can hold some weight though.

A: This device is capable of WiFi only.
Q: 3. Can I use it with 1Dx?
A: I'm sorry the WFT-E8A is not compatible with the original 1DX. The WFT-E6A is compatible with the 1DX but it is discontinued.
Q: 4. Does this work with C500 mark II?
A: According to Canon's website, it is not listed as an accessory for the C500 mk2.

A: No it is not. According to the EOS system Brochure, it is only compatible with the EOS 1Dx Mark II.

A: No, the Canon WFT-E9A Wireless File Transmitter will not work with the original Canon 1DX.

A: Wood glue and small finishing nails. They are strong!
Q: 9. Can I use this on 5D III?
A: The 5D III uses the Wireless File Transmitter WFT-E7A. Unfortunately, it is not compatible with the WFT-E8A.

A: Yes it can. It works very well for both photos and video.
