The StudioMax III constant color monolight offers a full six- f/stop power range over 320 watt/seconds. It has internal control to ensure the same Kelvin temperature output, no matter what level of output is chosen.

This light is an excellent choice as a main, secondary, or hair light. Since it accepts the entire line of the PowerLight reflectors, grids, snoots, and diffusers, the StudioMax III is a good investment.

I use it in my Studio for Portraits.I have Soft Box Lighting,and One Hard Light,so it's okay if it doesn't read flashes,Outdoor Portraits,Weddings,Outdoor portraits.No batteries needed,accurate,easy to use,reads ambient and incident lighting perfectly.A great meter at a great price. 5

This is a simple, accurate meter, and it's one of the more economical out there. It's also fairly easy to service slight damages (e.g. replacing the lumisphere or light sensor). Would definitely recommend to others. 5

My Sekonic L-398 Studio Deluxe II is reliable and accurate, matching a Minolta Auto Meter III exactly to 1/3 of a stop. In low light - at about 1/15 second at f/2 - it's a little iffy, but at those light levels you'll probably be using a flash anyway. I shoot a lot of Ilford Delta 400 with a Leica M6 TTL. I never have to worry about battery exhaustion. It's a great meter. 5

I chose the analog read-out over a digital because it gives me several options at a glance. I do a lot of indoor photography where flash is not allowed and a good incident/ambient light meter is an absolute necessity. 5
