The white B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Standard Sensitivity, with Hardwired 3.5mm Locking Connector for Nady Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.
Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to a Nady UB10, UB16, WLT14, or WLT15 wireless bodypack transmitter.
Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.
The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.
The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.
Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.
Standard, for most uses.

Q: 1. Tascam DR-70D Reference Manual, D01244120B, page 15. You can monitor the input signals when the unit is stopped using headphones, for example.Does that mean monitoring cannot be done while recording?
A: You can fully monitor while recording or not. Ive got this unit. Love it. Great build quality & sound.
Q: 2. Will it work with Deity V mic d3 pro?
A: You can plug a Deity V MIc D3 Pro shotgun mic into this recorder, but be aware that the mic's attached cable does not have a threaded sleeve on the end, which the Rode F2 mic input is expecting. There is a chance that the mic can pop out. Make sure contact is being made, and perhaps secure the connection with a piece of gaffers tape.
Q: 3. how does it record in dual mode? does this have 2S Sd card slots?
A: The dual recording mode allows you to simultaneously record two files at different input levels. One is the standard recording level and the other is recorded at a lower level as a safety track. The two recorded files are saved individually on the same SD card. The DR-70D has only one SD card slot. You can see more details about setting up dual recording mode on page 25 in the reference manual: http://tascam.com/content/downloads/products/867/e_dr-70d_rm_vb.pdf
Q: 4. The XLR inputs are combo jacks meaning I could also use those same inputs with TRS cables, correct?
A: Correct, however, you will want to be careful using Phantom power with TRS cables due to the way they connect. They can cause shorts in the signal and damage your unit.
Q: 5. Are the 4 tracks recorded separately or is it a final stereo track?
A: Mixed down to stereo.
Q: 6. Is it possible to pan the 4 channels L-R like a 4-2 mixer? I often record high-school plays/musicals with X-Y stereo array (hard L-R), a shotgun (equal (L-R) and an omni pzm up-stage (equal L-R). It would be nice to mix it up-front like that, record into the A-cam and be done.
A: You can set the left-right position of each recording channel with the PAN item on the BASIC screen.
Q: 7. can i use it for audior recording purpose?
A: Yes.The unit's features and functions are explained here:a href= http://tascam.com/product/dr-70d/ target= _blank http://tascam.com/product/dr-70d//aAn Owner's Manual is available on the DOWNLOADS tab.Thank you for your interest in TASCAM products.
Q: 8. Has anyone actually recorded the looped output to a DSLR like a GH4, Nikon D800 or 5DmkII or III? If so, what settings on the DR-70 camera output and the camera's mic input did you use? The Nikon and Canon have best S/N if their manual inputs are set to 1. Can you adjust the DR-70's output to provide a good level on the camera with the camera input set to 1 ?
A: Yes, I went from the 70D to a Atomos Blade via the stereo mini line I/O. I used my FP24 mixer stereo mini to go to a Canon 70D via tape return so you will do fine.
Q: 9. Will this unit handle Line level inputs or just mic level inputs???
A: The Tascam DR70D is able to accept mic or line level signals via the XLR/TRS combo jacks. Input settings are accessible in the menu.
Q: 10. When mounted to a DSLR, does the DR-70D pick up noise from handling/moving the camera?
A: There is no handling noise transferred to the DR-70D in normal operation. If the internal mics are active, then the possibility may exist.
