The white B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Standard Sensitivity, with Hardwired Hirose 4-Pin Connector for Audio-Technica Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.
Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a Hirose 4-pin connector for direct connection to an Audio-Technica ATW-T35, ATW-T75, ESW-T211, ATW-T601, ATW-T701, AEW-T1000, AEW-T1000a, or ATW-T1001 wireless bodypack transmitter for use with 600 Series, 700 Series, 1000 Series, 1200 Series, 4000 Series, 5000 Series, 7000 Series, or System 10 wireless systems.
Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.
The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.
The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.
Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.
Standard, for most uses.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. The XLR inputs are combo jacks meaning I could also use those same inputs with TRS cables, correct?
A: Correct, however, you will want to be careful using Phantom power with TRS cables due to the way they connect. They can cause shorts in the signal and damage your unit.
Q: 2. Are the 4 tracks recorded separately or is it a final stereo track?
A: Mixed down to stereo.
Q: 3. Will it work with Deity V mic d3 pro?
A: You can plug a Deity V MIc D3 Pro shotgun mic into this recorder, but be aware that the mic's attached cable does not have a threaded sleeve on the end, which the Rode F2 mic input is expecting. There is a chance that the mic can pop out. Make sure contact is being made, and perhaps secure the connection with a piece of gaffers tape.
Q: 4. Can this be used as a sound with sound recorder? Could record two tracks, then add three and four while listening to the first two? [to add instruments or narration]?
A: Yes, the DR-70D is a 4-track multi-track recorder so you can overdub additional tracks.
Q: 5. Can you recharge rechargeable AA batteries in the Tascam or do you have to recharge separately?
A: You will have to recharge batteries out of the recorder on a seperate wall charger.
Q: 6. How does this compare to the DR-60D?
A: There are a few features that differentiate the Tascam DR-70D from the DR-60D. The new DR-70D features 4 XLR mic inputs as opposed to the 2 available on the DR-60D. These inputs also feature upgraded preamps for higher record quality. The DR-70D also has included dual built in mics, all in a lower profile casing.
Q: 7. Power cable besides batteries?
A: An AC power adapter/cable is not included. The included USB cable may be used with this optional adapter that is available at an additional cost:The PS-P515U AC to USB Power Adapter from Tascam is a convenient adapter that allows you to power a USB device from an AC power outlet. It is ideal for portable audio recorders, allowing you to run them for hours without worrying about battery life.
Q: 8. Will this unit handle Line level inputs or just mic level inputs???
A: The Tascam DR70D is able to accept mic or line level signals via the XLR/TRS combo jacks. Input settings are accessible in the menu.
Q: 9. Can this be mounted from underneath? Obviously the screw-in tap will attach it to the bottom of a DSLR, but can the 70D be mounted onto the top of something else?
A: You can mount the 70D on the bottom of a DSLR with mounting screw. The unit also has a mounting screw underneath, so you can mount ontop of camera, tripod, etc.
Q: 10. Has anyone tried the built-in mic? Is it good? Compare to the Zoom H6's built-in mic? Thanks
A: Its not bad! I wouldn't use it as a primary mic, but its good for nat sound and stuff like that. Its a little better than the h4n built in mic. I havent used the h6
