(It was the case with the 16-55 Sony a6000 kit lens too, but this has the advantage of F4 even when fully zoomed in, and zooms twice as far, and has better optical stabilization - and looks cooler too!:) BTW, what are these comments about not forcing lens rings; they turn continuously.
