Unlike a traditional diffusion or soft focus filter, Pro-Mist filters provide little loss of detail across the image. The 4 density provides more contrast and highlight reduction than the 3, but less than the 5, while also allowing for a soft, pastel-like quality of light.

Our telescope tutor says it really is a great beginner telescope so if you can find someone who knows what they are doing then it shouldnt be too terrible.
