Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this lens block the Leica M9-P viewfinder?

A: Being that this is a newer item, there have not been any reports of blocking the viewfinder on a Leica M9-P specifically.

Q: 2. thinking of using this with a black magic pocket cinema camera. my question is will the camera be able to auto-focus and auto-iris with this lens?

A: That lens is for the original 4/3rds system and not the micro 4/3rds system. It will not fit on the Black Magic Cinema Camera.

Q: 3. Does this fit Olympus E-620?

A: Yes but I would recommend the 14-54 over this lens. It's faster, sharper, focuses closer, is build better, has a focus scale and really isn't much larger

Q: 4. Is this Olympus Zuiko Digital 35mm f/3.5 Macro ED Lens compatible with my Olympus E5?

A: Yes, This is a four thirds mount lens and is fully compatible with the Olympus E5 four thirds SLR. For use with mirrorless micro four thirds cameras, such as the OMD EM5, on the other hand, a four thirds to micro four thirds adapter is necessary to allow compatibility.

Q: 5. WILL THIS WORK WITH THE E-PM1?

A: The Olympus 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Zuiko ED lens has the four thirds mount while the E-PM1 has the micro four thirds mount, so you would not be able to mount this lens onto the E-PM1. For your camera, you might look at the Olympus M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 75-300mm f/4.8-6.7 II Lens (B&H # OL7530048IIB).

Q: 6. I have a lenses adapter on an Alpha a6000 that requires me to use this lense manually (which is fine). However I can not seem to focus using the focus ring. The ring rotates yet nothing happens. It this a defect in my particular lens, or can you only focus when shoot in auto?

A: Depending upon which lens you own, it is likely an electronic-focus lens even when focusing manually with the focus ring. If this is the case, the lens still needs electricity to move the motor and glass elements in order to focus the lens. It will therefore not be compatible with your manual-only adapter.

Q: 7. Can you please tell me how long the lens focus throw is?

A: There is no documentation from Olympus related to the focus throw on this lens.

Q: 8. Compatible with E-500?Thank you

A: Yes, this lens is a 4/3rds format lens, which is the same format the E-500 is of and is fully compatible with the camera.

Q: 9. Will this work with the lumix gx8?

A: Yes it will, with an adapter. You need an adapter because the lens is designed for 4/3 cameras and the GX-8 is a Micro 4/3 camera.

Q: 10. Is the aperture de-clickable?

A: Yes. The Voigtlander APO-LANTHAR 35mm f/2 Aspherical Lens for Sony E has their Selective Aperture Control System which allows the manual aperture ring to be de-clicked for smooth, silent exposure adjustment to suit filmmaking applications.

I'm extremely pleased with my purchase. I only use Olympus brand DSLR'S and Zuiko lenses... This is my second macro lens and it does take amazing shots. After using it several times, I can honestly say I've found nothing to complain about. ...

I just bought the Olympus 12-60mm f/2.8-4 ED SWD Zuiko Zoom. So far the pictures look great. Was it worth the considerable cost? probalby. I have a perfectly good Olympus 14-42mm F/3.5 -5.6 Kit ln that came with the camera. the 12-60 focuses much faster, has a 1/2 stop larger lens opening, and a greater range (24-120 vs 28 - 84) but it weighs a lot more. I have always liked olympus slrs becuase they ae light an compact, but the 12-60 lens and the e-30 body are considerably larger than the e510 body and 14-42 I started with.

I LOVE this lens. I'm getting in to wedding photography, so I wanted to upgrade my kit wide lens (14-42mm). I ordered it in time to take with us on a family trip to Disney and this lens lived on my E-620 90% of the time. Fast, smooth auto-focus, nice range from 12-60mm lets you get wide enough to get everything and still get in close without having to change lens. There's minimal distortion at 12mm on the edges, but I think that's to be expected with a lens this wide. Overall, this is a great piece of glass and I would actually recommend it over the 50-200mm zoom for its versatility (although if you're like me you'll want both :).

Awesome bang for the buck! Does exactly what I bought if for and performs way better than I expected having that price in my head. AF speed is decent, very compact & light weight. Uses same 58mm filters as 14-42. Build quality is good.

This is my first serious lens. I use this lens with e-620 and I get EXCELLENT RESULTS compared with Kit lens 14-42mm. I shot portraits of children and my dachshund, landscapes, urban scenes, animals in zoo. I like beautiful colors, super wide angle, quick focusing and image sharpness. Now this is my primary lens.
