A: Yes it does, although it puts out some hiss.

A: Unfortunately you cannot with the F 1. Once you plug in the lav it cuts the feed from the internal mic's.

A: The unit itself does not sport a 1/4-20 thread mount. However the dedicated shock-mount for the F1 does.

A: The headphone jack puts out a lot of hiss, so you wouldn't really want to use it this way.

A: The mic cord is about 5 feet long, so it seems possible but awkward. For greater flexibility in setting-up for various camera angles, I would attach the Zoom F1 Recorder to the interviewees waist by belt, etc., and use a 15-20 foot extension cord with 1/8th-inch male and female connectors on ends for extending the cord from your headphones for connecting to the headphone jack.

A: Yes, you can monitor audio while recording using the F2-BT's output jack which functions as a headphone or line level output with volume control.

A: Yes you can tap into a sound board or mixer, just make sure when you hook up, your input is set low then tweak it from there

A: Yes, it is the same microphone.

Q: 10. May I buy the LMF lav mic solely for spare?

A: I tried it with my Countryman B6 and was disappointed even at full gain on the recorder the volume was barely -12 to -6 db. My sennheiser ME 2-II Mic seems to do a little better on efficiency.
