The beige B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Standard Sensitivity, with Hardwired 4-Pin Hirose Connector for Sony Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a 4-pin Hirose connector for direct connection to a Sony WRT-28, WRT-820A, or WRT-860A wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Standard, for most uses.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with Pentax 645Z, K1 and K3 iii?

A: Yes, the Vello ShutterBoss II Timer Remote Switch for Canon with Sub Mini Connection would be compatible for use with the Pentax K-1, 645Z, and K3 III DSLR camera.

Q: 2. Is there an accessory to extend the wire cord for the Canon Sub Mini version?

A: Probably. The plug at the end of the cord is a standard plug. It looks just like the plug that I plug my iPod into the front of my car radio. You can find it at any electronics store and it comes in any plug arrangement (male/male, male/female, and female/female).

Q: 3. Would this sync the shutter and flash on a multiple camera setup using a wireless HSS flash system like Godox? I tried using a wireless Godox trigger/receiver but the flash does not sync with the shutter across multiple cameras.

A: I contacted Vello Gear concerning your inquiry. According to Vello Gear, they state if the Vello Wireless ShutterBoss II Receiver is connected to the remote terminal of your camera via a remote shutter release cable, and both the ShutterBoss II receiver and the handheld ShutterBoss II transmitter are set to the same channel, then yes, it may trigger multiple cameras whose receivers are also set to the same channel. However, that being said, the ShutterBoss II transmitter and receiver are not compatible with Vello's Freewave flash transmitters/receivers, nor is it compatible for use with Godox flash transmitters/receivers, and will not wirelessly trigger Godox products or flashes connected to Vello Freewave remotes.

Q: 4. I want to record a series of back-to-back bulb exposures with *very* little time between exposures -- essentially continuous shooting. Specifically... Can I set the Vello device to 20-sec exposures and 20-sec intervals? ...or must I add a between-shot time delay? (e.g., 19-sec exposures and 20-sec intervals).

A: You need to set the interval. And the fastest is one second.

Q: 5. Does this remote fit the Nikon D5300?

A: Yes, this remote is compatible with the Nikon D5300.

Q: 6. Is it compatible with and supplied with cable for A99V?

A: I have Sony Alpha 7 11 and it worked very well with it. The web site for Vello products informs you about what cameras it will work. If you still have doubt, the customer service at Vello products was extremely helpful. I had similar questions and concerns before I bought the SutterBoss 11 for my camera.

Q: 7. I have a canon rebel T5 camera will the canon 3 pin connection work? Thanks

A: No, this model has a single pin connector. You'll need the version with the 3-pin connector.

Q: 8. Does it work with canon 6D?

A: Absolutely. Works pefectly with the 6D.

Q: 9. does this work on the canon 6D?

A: I'm using this remote on a Canon 7D and it works just fine. The 6D has the same connector so it should work as well.

Q: 10. Is there a way to prevent the shutterboss from going into interval mode after a long exposure?

A: First make sure you're shooting in single shot mode. After that, check out the wireless unit itself. It may be defective, repeating the signal to release the shutter. This happened to me out of the box.
