Work in low light and capture images with exceptional "bokeh" with the 135mm f/2.0 ED UMC Lens from Samyang, available here for Micro Four Thirds mount cameras. This all-manual telephoto prime offers a flattering perspective well-suited to portraits and other sensitive subject matter, and the fast f/2.0 maximum aperture helps ensure the image will be bright and have an extremely shallow depth-of-field. Also, this lens features one extra-low dispersion element to reduce the impact of chromatic aberrations in the final image as well as an Ultra Multi-Coating to reduce flare and ghosting.

A large manual focus ring as well as a physical aperture ring are available on the lens barrel for making smooth, deliberate adjustments. Also, this lens has a minimum focus distance of 2.6' and a front filter thread diameter of 77mm. Assisting with smooth, pleasing out-of-focus elements is a circular 9-blade diaphragm. Additionally, it comes with a removable lens hood and a soft pouch.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this lens work on sony a7 mark 11?

A: Yes. It is designed to work well on the A7II or any of the A7 cameras. But the A7II has stabilization and that will make this Rokinon lens even more valuable.

Q: 2. Do these inexpensive Samyang prime tele's in Micro 4/3 autofocus? Image stabilization?

A: No autofocus or image stabilization. I use mine on a gx7 which provides focus assistance and stabilization.

Q: 3. Will this Lens fit my Samsung NX 30 ?

A: Yes, the lens is designed and made for NX format bodies.

Q: 4. Hi, is this lens compatible with Canon EOS Rebel T7i?

A: Yes, this lens will work on the T7i. Since the mount on the theT7i is an EF mount, you can use it. Keep in mind your T7i is a crop body, so while it will work, the lens will have an effective focal length of (216) on a canon crop body.

Q: 5. Is aperatur information relayed to Sony A7SII so that if you should e.g. Aperture priority, the ISO and shutter is automatically adjusted in camera? Also, is there focus assist on Viewfinder with the lens?

A: In Aperture priority mode the camera will set the shutter speed and the ISO but make sure the camera is set to Auto ISO. I have MF Assist turned on. Peaking level set to high and peaking color set to whatever color you like. ( I use red.) Peaking is visible in the viewfinder. Check you tube for many videos on camera settings and focus peaking. Lens is very good for the money.

Q: 6. Does it have an aperture lever to allow me to focus wide open and have the camera stop it down when I shoot? The picture does not show this.

A: This is a manual lens, both the focus and aperture are controlled on the lens itself. You will be able to adjust the aperture on the lens.

A: Rokinon 135mm f/2.0 Lens for Nikon F Mount with AE Chip is made by Rokinon South Korea manufacturers.

I had a chance to compare this Rokinon 135 mm f/2 with the Zeiss 135 mm f/2 Apo Sonnar for astrophotography use. Both are razor sharp in the center and good enough in the corners. But I found two key differences. (1) As the Zeiss lens focuses, the barrel extends while the Rokinon focuses internally. This makes holding the Zeiss with a telephoto lens support, e.g. the Manfortto 293, more problematic. (b) Secondly, and much more critically, I found the Zeiss focus to be much more temperature sensitive, perhaps because of its metal barrel. While testing both lenses outside in low 40's F temperatures, I found the Zeiss focus to drift unacceptably after just a few minutes of time, while the Rokinon held focus. This makes the Zeiss totally unusable for long sequences of sub exposures. I only did this test on one evening, its possible I screwed something up. However the many Rokinon 135 mm photos at Astrobin attests to its performance for astrophtotography.

I have only had a chance to take this out to use a couple times but I am so far very happy with the results. I was able to take some very nice shots of comet neowise with sharp stars when shooting at f/2.8. Would highly recommend this lens for the price.

I use this lens primarily for Astrophotography with my Canon Rebel T8i. At F2, its widest aperture, it's super sharp corner to corner, no aberrations visible. It's basically an small ED astrograph. I really love it. For the price, it can't be beat. I live in a severely light polluted city, so my astro imaging is limited. But, just imagine using this lens under dark skies! It's gonna be spectacular! I would highly recommend this lens to beginners and experts of astrophotography.

I do mostly video, so zoom would be my preference, but it's really hard (expensive) to get zooms that look as good as this lens. Really beautiful colors and sharpness. Very fast with beautiful Bokeh. Already one of my favorite lenses.

As a beginner in photographing the night sky, I bought this lens to expand into the stars a little deeper than the 28-70mm that came with the Sony a7ii. I'm very happy I bought it. It has taken sharp images; collecting photons as far out as 11.4 million light years away. Not too shabby!

It took working with older film cameras to teach me to truly enjoy manual focus. I bought this with the primary goal of using it for astrophotography, which it does very well at f/2. I can acquire data on larger targets so quickly now. It also performs flawlessly on my F5 and D500, and the bokeh is incredibly smooth. I foresee a lot of future use.

The Rokinon 135mm f/2.0 ED UMC Lens is a fantastic lens. It's sharp, fast, comes with a hood which not only keeps out stray light, but keeps dew off my lens during nighttime shooting. Although it's manual focus only, I use it for astrophotography so that works perfectly for me. Images are excellent all the way to the edges. A focus ring lock would be a great thing to have, but tape works too! All-around a great addition to my toolbox.
