The beige B3 Omnidirectional Lavalier Mic, Standard Sens, with LEMO 4-Pin Connector for Telex Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a water-resistant, miniature lavalier microphone for capturing high-quality audio. It can be used in a variety of applications such as a tie-clip lavalier in interviews, a hair-hidden mic for drama, a water-resistant mic for water sports and hurricane reporting, or simply a small mic to hide in a prop flower vase.

The capsule is resistant to moisture, which allows for placement in the hair or on bare skin, and its omnidirectional polar pattern minimizes handling noise, wind noise, and plosives (popping). Furthermore, a variety of skin-matching colors are available. The B3's cable terminates to a LEMO 4-pin connector for direct connection to a Telex WT-200, WT-400, or WT-450 wireless bodypack transmitter. Additionally, a carrying case, two cable clips, a windscreen, and three protective caps are also included.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B3 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B3 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B3 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 150 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B3 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Standard, for most uses.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with the Nikon D750?

A: Yes, the Vello Shutterboss Version II Timer Remote Switch for Nikon with DC2 Connection would be compatible for use with the Nikon D750 DSLR camera.

Q: 2. When recording nature, bird calls, ocean sounds etc should the low cut filter be used? If so what would the best setting be?

A: Depending on what you are recording, the settings needed can vary in different environments and when using different microphones so it's best to monitor the audio through headphones while recording and always do some testing to see what settings work best each time. The low cut filter can help to reduce noise when recording nature sounds, but it's always beneficial to experiment first and record a few samples to find out what works best with your recording setup in a particular environment. There is a lot of helpful information available on the internet that you can find by searching "How to record nature sounds" or be more specific and search "How to record bird calls" or "How to record ocean sounds."

Q: 3. Does the power saving power down the camera or just the remote?

A: Only the remote, not the camera.

Q: 4. Does this work with the A7s iii?

A: Yes this works with the A7S III.

Q: 5. Can it record 4 tracks simultaneously at 24 bit 96k?

A: Yes you can.

Q: 6. Will this work with the Lumix S5?

A: Yes the Vello ShutterBoss II Timer Remote Switch for Panasonic and Leica is compatible with the Panasonic S5 camera.

Q: 7. Can this be setup to control focus for a Sony RXiii?

A: This is a scrap item. Have two and the two broke in not a year. Buy the Phottix aion.

Q: 8. Is there a manual control for audio gain up or down on the DSLR mini 1/8 output?

A: The Tascam DR-70D does not feature an output level control knob for adjustment. In order to adjust level going into your camera, you will have to access this feature from the menu.

Q: 9. does this work with canon 7d?

A: Yes, but it will not work in the continuous high speed fps mode. It will allow to shoot off 3-4 shots quickly, but then you have to hit the shutter button again to rip another 3-4 shots. I was not happy that it could not rip off a bunch of shots at a time as if you were using the camera's shutter button. I checked with Shutterboss Reps and they confirmed this. So I sent it back. Hope this helps.

Q: 10. Can I put another trs mic in the camera input?

A: You can, but the camera will, in that case, only capture the audio from the additional microphone and the Tascam recorder will record all of your other microphones. It would be best to consider a mini to XLR adapter to connect your TRS mic. If that TRS mic requires mic plugin power, you can use an adapter that will convert phantom power from the recorder, to mic plugin power for that compatibility, like the B&H # DEDXLR.
