Q: 1. can i use this on a devin graham glidecam and a jib? also, can you reccomend the kind of cables i need if i were to use this on a 8ft jib. thanks

A: Hi Divine - yes, it should work fine! we don't have direct experience with the glidecam, but many customers use it with steadicam, which works the same. Remember you'll need a small lightweight battery, check out our new lp-e6 battery adapter, which is about to be released (you will want to ask for part number 2-178-0001)this bundle is great for that. For a jib you'll want a longer cable, which we can make to size, but you will need to contact us at redrock micro direct for that cable. Everything else is available here.

Q: 2. How to recharge or replace the handheld remote's battery? Is it internal or 9v like the Bartech?

Q: 3. Will this work with the Tiltamax Nucleus M wireless follow focus system?

Q: 4. Will I be able to use the start / stop function on the a7S II? If so, what cable will I need? The Micro-D HDMI output is occupied by an Atomos Shogun, if that has anything to do with it.

A: Remote video start/stop for DSLRs and Mirrorless cameras generally does not exist. The issue is that for most cameras, which includes the a7S II, the video button is on an separate, non-connected circuit and cannot be activated except by a manual press of the button. Even the Sony WiFi app cannot activate video recording. I am afraid that we will have to wait for a model change before we can start using the MicroRemote on a a7 camera.

Q: 6. Is that new setup with Atlas motor Redrock Micro Atlas Smart Motor Single Channel Focus Control With Wireless Hand Controller B&H # RE621550001here is the link to it https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1338835-REG/redrock_micro_62_155_0001_atlas_smart_motor_single.html target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1338835-REG/redrock_micro_62_155_0001_atlas_smart_motor_single.html/a better than regular torque motor from redrock micro? We are now looking for the wireless follow focus system to use with our Ronin M gimbal; and a7sII camera and this Atlas motors with no base station looks nice but are they better than a torque one?Are Atlas motors are more professional or&?And other question is how many atlas motors can the Redrock Micro microRemote Handheld Wireless Focus Controller work with?

A: Hi Iaroslav thanks for your questionsthe Atlas motor has several advantages over the Torque motor:1. it has 300% more torque and 200% more resolution2. it has the brain integrated into the motor, so there is no separate basestation3. it has many other advantages as a smart motor, including integrated radio, sbus (for drone and gimbal communication), wifi, app for configuration, daisy chain to support multiple channels, etc. - you can learn more about it on our website a href= http://shop.redrockmicro.com target= _blank shop.redrockmicro.com/aThe microRemote hand unit is a single channel hand unit. The atlas motors can be daisy-chained for FIZ (focus, iris, zoom)if you are looking for a 3 channel gimbal style control consider the Navigator 7-in-1 Command Module which has additional benefits to control the Ronin-M gimbal from the joystick as well, AND you can run it as solo operator fingerwheel style, or wireless FIZhope that helps

Q: 7. Will this power the Red Komodo and Cine 7?

A: The Red Komodo and the SmallHD Cine 7 both have a 2-pin LEMO power connector, so in theory it should work. However with out testing I cannot confirm. This cable is described to power an optional Redrock microRemote.

Q: 8. Does this kit come with the needed cables? Also if I want to use this with a Movi Pro and the Freefly remote is there anything else I would need beyond this kit?

A: Depends on the Movi. We use this with our Movi M5 and Movi controller, less stuff needed for the new Movi Pro. You will probably need to order a receiver for your remote fro Freefly if it is an older Movi. They work very well but this is the bottom of the barrel for wireless focus so don't expect to film with this and sound. We produce only stock footage without audio. If I had to be recording audio this motor is pretty noisy.

Q: 9. Will these cables work with the Ronin M?

A: Hi Stephanie - thanks for asking. Yes the flexCable wireless kit works for all Ronins including Ronin M

Q: 10. Would one be able to use two of these on a digital cine lens? One to control the Iris and one to control the Focus?

A: Hi 490yes you can do that, it's a great idea too! just get two setups and use one for focus and one for iris. Just make sure they are cine style gearing 0.8
