The black Tram TR50 is a miniature omnidirectional lavalier microphone designed to deliver clear speech and dialog with a natural sound that mixes well with boom microphones, making it popular among professional sound recordists working in TV, film, broadcast, videography, and more.

The mic's omnidirectional polar pattern provides a generous 360° pickup response that helps to keep levels consistent, even if the talent turns and isn't speaking directly in the direction of the capsule. The flat, upward facing design allows the mic to be easily concealed while also helping it to resist clothing and rustling noises.

The TR50 features a 40 Hz to 16 kHz frequency response with a gentle 3 to 4 dB boost in the high frequencies for added clarity with minimum sound coloration, especially helpful if the mic is hidden behind clothing or fabric. Well suited to wireless applications, the mic features a 4.5' cable available in a variety of connectors for direct integration with bodypack transmitters. This model features a TA4F connector wired for use with Shure transmitters and other compatible devices.

This version of the TR50 is wired with a positive bias, which means that, in addition to being powered by your wireless transmitter, it can also be used for wired XLR applications by plugging it into the TR79+ power supply (available separately). A tie bar, tie tac, clip-on holder, and tape-down holder are provided to help you mic up your subject. A windscreen, cable holder, and carrying case are also included.

Q: 1. Can I tranfer the audio to my Iphone? How could I do it?

A: this wil need a cpuple of adapters to do this. The audio would need to be attenuated, then a conversiom TRRS then a conversion to lightnig. It would be alot. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/746645-REG/Sescom_LN2MIC_ZOOMH4N_LN2MIC_ZOOMH4N_Line_to.html https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/252354-REG/Hosa_Technology_GMM_303_GMM303_Mini_Female_to.html https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1048151-REG/rode_sc4_trs_to_trrs_adaptor.html?sts=pi&pim=Y https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1280795-REG/apple_mmx62am_a_lightning_to_3_5mm_headphone.html?sts=pi&pim=Y

Q: 2. Can I connect the recorder to the camera and record to it directly? And is there a headphone port to listen to and check the sound?

A: The F2-BT has a locking 3.5mm stereo output jack with dedicated volume up/down buttons which can be used to connect to a camera, secondary recorder, or used with headphones for monitoring the audio. Keep in mind that the output signal from the recorder is line level and the output connector is a locking type, so a few adapters are required to create a setup with the connections and options you will need to connect the recorder to a camera and also allow you to monitor the audio. If you want to connect the F2-BT to the mic input on a DSLR, you will need to use a level matching cable as well as a cable with a locking 3.5mm connector. You can make this work by using a Senal Right-Angle Locking 1/8" Mini to Right-Angle 1/8" Mini Output Cable (B&H # SEAWSCBLMINI) combined with a Kopul ACH4-25MON Line-to-Mic Attenuator Cable (B&H # KOACH425MON) which also provides a headphone tap. Connect the Senal and Kopul cables using a female coupler such as the Hosa Technology GMM303 3.5mm Female Stereo Mini to 3.5mm Female Stereo Mini Adapter (B&H # HOASMFSMF). These adapters will allow you to record with the F2-BT and also send the audio to your camera, as well as provide a headphone jack so you can monitor the sound while recording.

Q: 3. Can I use a second lavalier? I mean a use for an interview where we need two mics.

A: The Zoom F2 BT can only accept one lavalier microphone.

Q: 4. With the Bluetooth version, are you able to monitor audio from the app? Also could you do that for more than one mic?

A: This does not allow monitoring over bluetooth. It is only as a remote for functionality.

Q: 5. The zoom f2 supplies plug-in power to input. Will this damage a mic like the mke 600 which has it's own battery driven power?

A: The Zoom F2-BT Portable Field Recorder can supply up to 2.5V of plug-in power to condenser mics that require it. Since the Sennheiser MKE 600 Shotgun Microphone can be powered by a battery, it will not draw plug-in power from the F2-BT. There will not be problems and no way to damage the mic.

Q: 6. I have the f1, and I use it a lot as a USB audio interface for live streams. Does the F2 have the same functionality?

A: No, the F2-BT does not have an interface mode.

Q: 7. if you had to compare this to rode wireless go in order to record audio to camera etc?

A: This is a fairly sophisticated recorder, that comes with a wired lav mic, and features bluetooth control, and 32-bit float recording. You would get very food recordings in this unit, but would then sync them to your video in post production. The quality would be better than the Rode WIreless Go, but the Rode system is a microphone and the audio signal goes right to your camera, making for less post production work.

Q: 8. I have Red Komodo that I need timecode sync for zoomf2 BT version. The UltraSync Blue does not plug into Komodo so how do I sync it? Will zoom f2 BT work with tentacle sync gen for red komodo? If not what timesync generator can I get for Red Komodo and wc B box 5 pin lemon timecode out?

A: This unit uses time code through Bluetooth and will connect wirelessly to Ultrasync Blue devices.

Q: 9. I have the Zoom F6, which generates its own timecode, and has bluetooth. Can I sync the F2 with F6 directly, or are they really making me buy some 3rd party device for that?

A: It is not possible to sync the F2 and F6 directly. You will need to use an UltraSync BLUE device by Timecode Systems (available separately) to sync the F2 and F6 to receive and write timecode to recorded files.

Q: 10. How many recorders i can see / config / via app at the same time?

A: The F2 app allows you to monitor one recorder.
