Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I had previously ordered this and it came with an EL-Skyport Speed Transmitter. Does it still include this remote trigger?

A: Unfortunately, a transmitter is not included with the Elinchrom D-Lite RX One Flash Head. A compatible option is the Elinchrom EL-Skyport Transmitter Plus, BH # ELSTP. https://bhpho.to/3c95qbf

Q: 2. I love using this lighting set. Question: When I use three elinchrom flashheads, they sound not together really quickly. Is there anything I need to check? Is there a manual download for the trigger plus? I found a two page manual on the elinchrom website.

A: What sound? Fan, beep? If they are at different power levels they may sound different.

Q: 3. Does this have the standard Elinchrome mount-will fit any Elinchrome speedrings, reflectors, etc?

A: Yes standard Elinchrome EL mount

Q: 4. What is the color temperature for this unit? Is it the same as the dlite 200ws? And does the temperature change with increase in flash power?

A: According to Elinchrom, all of the current D-Lite RX monolights have a flash tube balance for 5500 Kelvin when the units are set to full power. Unfortunately, there is no information regarding what the color temperature would be at lower power settings.

Q: 5. Can I use the new EL Skyport transmitter to trigger my older Elinchrom Dlite 4 it strobes and use two newer and two older flashes altogether?

A: All will trigger, but remote power control will not be possible with the older units.

Q: 6. Does this work with the hot shoe on Fujifilm X-T2?

A: The El-skyports are pretty universal. I've used them with my 5D and my Panasonic G7 without problem.

Q: 7. Does it work in a contry use 220V, 60Hz voltage power?

A: The input voltage that the Elinchrom D-Lite RX One Flash Head, B&H # ELDLRXONE, is designed to accept is 90 to 260 VAC, 50/60 Hz. It is a multi-voltage item, so it would work for your usage needs. However, do note that the flash head includes the standard USA plug and the modeling lamp designed for use on 100-120V input voltage. As such, if you will be using the light fixture internationally, you will need to purchase a plug adapter to convert the plug to the type used in your country, and you will have to purchase a modeling lamp with the correct voltage for use in your country.

Q: 8. does the guaranty covers/applies to mexico?

A: As long as the purchase was from B&H, it applies. However any warranty work will have to be performed by MAC Group in New York.

Q: 9. Has anybody seen a lit of the various flash durations for these? I know they report 1/800th at full power, but what are the flash durations at, say, 1/2, or 1/16th? I can't find anything like this listed anywhere. I'm considering the new HS transmitter, and these durations are going to be important.

A: Hi,There is no published flash duration data for lower settings. Generally, theFastest flash duration is always at full flash power for our units, and it gets slower when you decrease flash power. The reason is that by reducing the flash power you also decrease the capacitor voltage and lower voltage will give a longer, slower flash duration. This rule does not apply for ELC units as they are using a different technology.A global rule at minimum power the flash duration will be around 40% slower.I hope this helps.Regards,Will HBrand Manager Lighting, MAC Group US

Q: 10. How powerful is this Flash Head compared to a conventional portable flash. I.e. Canon 400EX ii or the 600EX RT? It's not clear to me what that 100W means. Thanks.

A: We experience it has about twice the power of a normal on camera speedlite. We use it for on location attached to a rechargeable battery. It is great to have low weight, but able to use light modifiers used in studio photography. The skyport, the computer or iPhone remote capability is great and modern. Most users respond to have other Elinchrom units, so an addition is a simply decision to make
