The Countryman E6i Cardioid Microphone is a miniature ear-set microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

The cardioid version effectively minimizes off-axis feedback and noise from nearby monitor speakers, instruments and noisy sources. Flexible microphone positioning is maintained and the included windscreen minimizes the wind noise often associated with cardioid microphones.

The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.

A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is cocoa and features a Switchcraft TA5F connector for use with Lectrosonics wireless transmitters.

A miniature cardioid capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters.

The cardioid polar pattern is effective in minimizing off-axis residual noise from e nearby monitor speakers, instruments and loud sources. The result is increased signal-to-noise ratio and minimal feedback. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning. The E6i is also available in an omnidirectional version for maximum control over wind noise and plosives (popping).

This E6i's sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture general speech without noise and distortion.

Q: 1. This flip-lock head doesn't seem to accept regular Arca swiss plates. Is there an adapter so I can use my generic Arca plate?

A: The 'adapter' would just be another Arca Swiss plate that is compatible with the head, which, at that point, you would just use to mount your camera directly to the Arca-Swiss Monoball p0 With Fliplock Quick Set Device Ball Head. You can find compatible plates under the accessories tab.

Q: 2. I have Nikon D5 with RRS standard Arca-Swiss Quick Release plate which I use with my Gimbal Head. But It does not seem to fit into the Fliplock clamp. Am I doing something wrong?

A: Yes I had the same problem with the flip lock style clamp. I kept turning it trying to get it to tighten and it finally fell apart. I sent it back for the other style the screw tighten and it works as it should.

Q: 3. I have a RRS BA9 plate for Sony A7R III. Does the RRS plate fit the clamp of the arca-swiss P0 ballhead with fliplock or I need to get the one with classic quick release?

A: I just sent the arca-swiss PO ballhead with fliplock back since I could never get it tight on either of my plates...the arca-swiss one or another off brand. There is a wheel to adjust it but no matter the direction I turned it I could not get it to tighten then it completely came unscrewed and fell apart. I guess I turned it too far. It was spring loaded and it would not fit back together so I sent it back. The locking mechanism is also very hard to use. I would seriously advise you to the the classic quick release version.

Q: 4. Will this head used with feisol ct-3442 let the legs be folded over and be carried in the feisol bag ?

A: Yes, it will fit in the Feisol bag.

Q: 5. what is the maximum tilt angle supported?

A: The Slik SH-747FC 3-Way Pan-Tilt Head with :Friction Control and Arca-Type Quick Release Set can tilt down 90 degrees.

Q: 6. does it come with any plate or I have to buy plates separately?

A: Quick Release plates would need to be purchased separately.

Q: 7. What plate would I need to use this with a Lumix GH2? (By the way, the product in the picture is different - that is the Classic Quick release, so not the one I'm asking about)

A: The Arca-Swiss Monoball p0 with Fliplock Quick Set Device ball head features a Fliplock quick release plate, which is compatible with the Lumix GH2.

Q: 8. Is it possible to remove the clamp on this head? I found this fliplock clamp really hard to use and I would like to replace it with a RRS clamp.

A: I do not believe is possible to replace the clamp. And yes, at times it appears difficult to open the clamp but once you master it, it is easy and the safest. To open just squeeze the clamp close and pull the retainer knob at the en towards you. When it releases, just open it half way and release it complety by pulling the second retainer away from the ball. Once I considered this the best ballhead but it tends to come apart if not careful when adjusting the width of the jaws opening.

Q: 9. Is there a way to adjust tension on the fine tune knobs? cube has this option, I have a lightweight mirrorless camera and don't need a lot of tension. Thanks in advance.

A: Not that I know of, but it is not an issue. The knobs turn easily and stay put where you leave them. I am having a great time with my p0.

Q: 10. Hi,If I understand correctly, this head is compatible with both types of camera plates, classic Arca Swiss camera plates and the new so-called MonoballFix plates promoted by Arca Swiss. Is this correct? Thanks in advance.

A: The Arca-Swiss Monoball P0 is compatible with the Monoball Classic systems.
