Q: 1. Which softie and suspension kit will work with the MKH 416?

A: The Mkh 416 we bought from B&H came with the mz415 windscreen which in my opion works great!! We added the auray windshield for those heavy windy days. But believe me the mz415 gets us through most of our talking head interviews. Pair it with the rycote universal mount and your ready. The key to any boom operator is his or her abllity NOT to bump or twist the pole as to not pick up any un wanted bass from the pole.Cheers to this mic it is great in the hands of a good operator.

Q: 2. Any time code capability?

A: The Zoom H6 does not currently have any time code sync capabilities.

Q: 3. is the moisture resistant on a different version? or is this also labeled as moisture resistant

A: The microphone has a high immunity to humidity and moisture, which makes it suitable for outdoor and indoor projects.

Q: 4. does anyone know where I can get just theIncludes interchangeable mike clips for MKH-416/MKH-816, or MKH-20 through MKH-70?

A: The mic clip that is included with the MKH 416 is the MZQ100 (B&H # SEMZQ100). The clip for MKH series mic such as the MKH 20/30/40/50 is the MZQ40 (B&H # SEMZQ40). The compatible Sennheiser shockmount is the MZS40 (B&H # SEMZS40). Rycote's INV-7 InVision shockmount (B&H # RYINV7) is also designed for use with Sennheiser MKH mics.

Q: 5. How can I clean it when the sponge particles are sticking to the mic?

A: First of all the last thing you should be using to clean any condenser mic is any liquid and a sponge. You have a 416 a great mic don't ruin it. One of the recommended ways of of cleaning the ports and capsule mesh. Is to get a dry very soft tooth brush. Turn the mic upside down and gently start at the bottom and use the tooth brush to gently rub over the ports and work your way to the top.I find a natural soft Boar bristle tooth brush to be softer than your run of the mill plastic models. There is also a product called Microphome which seems to be garnering approval with the industry.

Q: 6. Can this mic be used with the Sony PXW X70 camcorder?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser MKH 416-P48U3 Moisture-Resistant Shotgun Microphone can be used with the XLR inputs on the Sony PXW-X70 Professional XDCAM Compact Camcorder.

Q: 7. Will this work with the BMPCC4K?

A: Yes it will work with an added adapter such as the The Beachtek Item#BEDXAMICROP or similar products that provide Phantom power to the Microphone.

Q: 8. Can this be connected to a Galaxy S21 Ultra

A: Yes, the Sennheiser MKE 400 Mobile Kit Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone with Smartphone Recording Bundle could be connected to the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra's USB-C input connection using the included CL 35 TRRS Locking 3.5mm TRS to 3.5mm TRRS Coiled Cable and a 3.5mm female TRRS to USB-C adapter such as BH #COCVMSPXUC Comica Audio CVM-SPX-UC: https://bhpho.to/3Nl8rmk

Q: 9. How well does this microphone pick up soft distance sounds. Also how well does it reject sounds that are not in front of it?

A: The Sennheiser MKE 400 Shotgun Microphone will pickup audio from sources that are in front of the mic from up to approximately 3 to 4 feet away. As far as how well the mic will pick up soft sounds from a distance, it would really depend on the environment where the mic is used and the actual volume of the sounds and background sounds. The mic will do a good job of rejecting sound from the back and sides, as long as they are not considerably louder than the sounds that are directly in front of the mic.

Q: 10. This comes also with its black foam?

A: Yes the MKH 416 comes with a foam windscreen for indoor use.
