The Countryman E6i Cardioid Microphone is a miniature ear-set microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

The cardioid version effectively minimizes off-axis feedback and noise from nearby monitor speakers, instruments and noisy sources. Flexible microphone positioning is maintained and the included windscreen minimizes the wind noise often associated with cardioid microphones.

The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.

A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is tan and features a Screw-on TA4F connector for use with Beyerdynamic/Mipro wireless transmitters.

A miniature cardioid capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters.

The cardioid polar pattern is effective in minimizing off-axis residual noise from e nearby monitor speakers, instruments and loud sources. The result is increased signal-to-noise ratio and minimal feedback. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning. The E6i is also available in an omnidirectional version for maximum control over wind noise and plosives (popping).

This E6i's sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture general speech without noise and distortion.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it possible to remove the clamp on this head? I found this fliplock clamp really hard to use and I would like to replace it with a RRS clamp.

A: I do not believe is possible to replace the clamp. And yes, at times it appears difficult to open the clamp but once you master it, it is easy and the safest. To open just squeeze the clamp close and pull the retainer knob at the en towards you. When it releases, just open it half way and release it complety by pulling the second retainer away from the ball. Once I considered this the best ballhead but it tends to come apart if not careful when adjusting the width of the jaws opening.

Q: 2. Can the Clamp be removed and replaced?

A: In the Slik SH-747FC 3-Way Pan-Tilt Head with :Friction Control and Arca-Type Quick Release Set the clamp can't be removed and replaced.

Q: 3. Can I use Arca-Swiss Slidefix QR Camera Plate (32x32mm) ?

A: Yes you can use the Arca-Swiss Slidefix QR Camera Plate.

Q: 4. Will they fit the Manfrotto 3221 tripod? Thank you

A: Yes, the Manfrotto Retractable Spiked Feet (Set of 3), B&H # MA204SPK3, would be compatible for use with the Bogen/Manfrotto 3021 tripod legs.

Q: 5. I have Nikon D5 with RRS standard Arca-Swiss Quick Release plate which I use with my Gimbal Head. But It does not seem to fit into the Fliplock clamp. Am I doing something wrong?

A: Yes I had the same problem with the flip lock style clamp. I kept turning it trying to get it to tighten and it finally fell apart. I sent it back for the other style the screw tighten and it works as it should.

Q: 6. what is the maximum tilt angle supported?

A: The Slik SH-747FC 3-Way Pan-Tilt Head with :Friction Control and Arca-Type Quick Release Set can tilt down 90 degrees.

Q: 7. Can you remove and replace the clamp?

A: No the clamp on the Slik SH-747FC 3-Way Pan-Tilt Head with :Friction Control and Arca-Type Quick Release Set are non removable.

Q: 8. Anyone have any feedback on this head? I am interested in this or the Z1 DP. This one seems to accomplish what I need for less $ which is to use as a general purpose head but to also use as a panoramic head. I am wondering about the ease of use and durability compared to the Z1. Any feedback would be valuable. Thank You.

A: I like this head. After setting the base to horizontal, I can rotate the head 360 degrees and the horizon level is kept. This doesn't happen with other heads I used before. Definitely a keeper for me.

Q: 9. does it come with any plate or I have to buy plates separately?

A: Quick Release plates would need to be purchased separately.

Q: 10. This flip-lock head doesn't seem to accept regular Arca swiss plates. Is there an adapter so I can use my generic Arca plate?

A: The 'adapter' would just be another Arca Swiss plate that is compatible with the head, which, at that point, you would just use to mount your camera directly to the Arca-Swiss Monoball p0 With Fliplock Quick Set Device Ball Head. You can find compatible plates under the accessories tab.
