The Countryman E6i Cardioid Microphone is a miniature ear-set microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

The cardioid version effectively minimizes off-axis feedback and noise from nearby monitor speakers, instruments and noisy sources. Flexible microphone positioning is maintained and the included windscreen minimizes the wind noise often associated with cardioid microphones.

The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.

A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is black and features a Switchcraft TA4F connector for use with specific* Electro-Voice/Telex wireless transmitters.

A miniature cardioid capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters.

The cardioid polar pattern is effective in minimizing off-axis residual noise from e nearby monitor speakers, instruments and loud sources. The result is increased signal-to-noise ratio and minimal feedback. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning. The E6i is also available in an omnidirectional version for maximum control over wind noise and plosives (popping).

This E6i's sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture general speech without noise and distortion.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can a 600mmF4 be balanced well? The top plate seems a bit short in height to set the vertical plane to the center of the lens

A: Yes, a 600 mm f/4 lens can be balanced well.

Q: 2. Can I use Arca-Swiss Slidefix QR Camera Plate (32x32mm) ?

A: Yes you can use the Arca-Swiss Slidefix QR Camera Plate.

Q: 3. What plate would I need to use this with a Lumix GH2? (By the way, the product in the picture is different - that is the Classic Quick release, so not the one I'm asking about)

A: The Arca-Swiss Monoball p0 with Fliplock Quick Set Device ball head features a Fliplock quick release plate, which is compatible with the Lumix GH2.

Q: 4. Can the ball be rotated so that you have a vertical perspective as well as the horizontal?

A: Yes, the ball flips completely 90 degrees to the side. It will hold steady.Generally speaking if you use portrait mode a lot, you may want to get an L bracket. It's much easier to get all lined up when you can just put your camera on top already in portrait mode.

Q: 5. Do those unique safety buttons that can ensure that your lens will not slide off work with my arca-compatible Promedia gear camera L-bracket? My friend told me his top clamp does not work properly, however the built-in clamp on the fotopro l-bracket works fine. In other words the button functions as designed on their supplied L-bracket clamp but not the top clamp. Can someone confirm that for me?

A: The Fotopro E-9H Gimbal Head (Black) is like most Gimbal heads is made for a long lens that has a tripod collar and is not made to attach the camera direct to it use any plate including a L plate.

Q: 6. Will the mounting plate accomodate a 3/8 screw?

A: Yes, it also comes with a 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 Bushing Adapter if you need it.

Q: 7. does it come with any plate or I have to buy plates separately?

A: Quick Release plates would need to be purchased separately.

Q: 8. Hi,If I understand correctly, this head is compatible with both types of camera plates, classic Arca Swiss camera plates and the new so-called MonoballFix plates promoted by Arca Swiss. Is this correct? Thanks in advance.

A: The Arca-Swiss Monoball P0 is compatible with the Monoball Classic systems.

Q: 9. I have a RRS BA9 plate for Sony A7R III. Does the RRS plate fit the clamp of the arca-swiss P0 ballhead with fliplock or I need to get the one with classic quick release?

A: I just sent the arca-swiss PO ballhead with fliplock back since I could never get it tight on either of my plates...the arca-swiss one or another off brand. There is a wheel to adjust it but no matter the direction I turned it I could not get it to tighten then it completely came unscrewed and fell apart. I guess I turned it too far. It was spring loaded and it would not fit back together so I sent it back. The locking mechanism is also very hard to use. I would seriously advise you to the the classic quick release version.

Q: 10. Is it possible to remove the clamp on this head? I found this fliplock clamp really hard to use and I would like to replace it with a RRS clamp.

A: I do not believe is possible to replace the clamp. And yes, at times it appears difficult to open the clamp but once you master it, it is easy and the safest. To open just squeeze the clamp close and pull the retainer knob at the en towards you. When it releases, just open it half way and release it complety by pulling the second retainer away from the ball. Once I considered this the best ballhead but it tends to come apart if not careful when adjusting the width of the jaws opening.
