A: We have not heard of this issue. However, speaking directly with Sirui would be best since this may involve the 6 year warranty on the cabinet.

Q: 2. I have an 8v output on a battery plate, but the camera is 7.2. Will this be safe?

A: This cable is compatible with 7.2 - 8V sources. It will be safe.

Q: 3. is there a softbox to fit this light?

A: Currently there is not a softbox for this light. Your best bet to soften it more would be to shoot it through a silk.

Q: 4. I was looking for an external battery / portable charger to power my A7R2 in the field when shooting extended timelapse series. I see the voltage range of this adapter, but what is a recommended amperage range? Additionally, can anyone recommend a good battery that isn't too large that might get the job done?

A: I Cut the DC coupler/connector off the end and connected this to a lawnmower battery for a 9 hour long overnight timelapse with my sony a7s2. Readying the output voltage with a meter from a standard fully charged sony battery, and the output voltage from this adapter attached to the lawnmower battery, both voltages were the same. I have had no issues since with this setup and have used it many times now. If it works with a 12v lawnmower battery, I'm sure you will be fine with whatever battery you use, Just be sure to check the voltages from the adapters output before plugging it into your camera for the first time to make sure everything stays stable and steady and that you dont have a defective adapter.

A: The USB power bank has to have an output of 7.4 volts or more. If it is a standard 5vdc usb output, it will not work. Your camera requires 7.4vdc to operate.

A: The battery is not user replaceable. You can charge it from the device only.

Q: 8. What does the unit do with the moisture that it removes from the air? Is there some sort of drip pan? I'll be using it in Florida, so there is a lot of humidity to be removed!

A: Anthony. I use mine (a smaller model - HC50) in Panama, of course a very high humidity area like S. Florida. It works perfectly. I don't know where the moisture goes, but there is no drip pan that I know of. I use it at maximum dehumidification, it gets relative humidity down to 25% in a few hours, and it stays there as long as you don't open the door too often. I have been using mine only since March, so cannot attest to durability yet. Bill.

Q: 9. Will this work with the power pod 14.4 volt station and covert to the appropriate 7.2 volts or should I use the 7.2 volt power pod?

A: You can do either way. However, I think I would lean to the two battery 7.2 because you get the ability to hot swap out a dead battery.

A: mines got the USA typical 3 prong plug. business as usual. It works, the green light stops blinking, but if you wait, it'll start again. try to chill its fine lol.
