A: Sorry, no. This lens is designed to cover a ENG (Electronic News Gathering) 2/3 sensor which is much smaller than the Super35 sensor of the Canon C100. One solution is to use the MTF Services Ltd B4 2/3 to Canon EF Adapter with 2/3 lenses. You still cannot use the the Canon 8.2-164mm f/1.9-2.7 HD ENG Zoom Lens however. You need a 2/3 lens with an extender. The adapter and the lens's extender make the image large enough to cover the sensor. There are two disadvantages: you lose 2 stops of light and you must have the extender engaged at all times. See the attached links to the adapter and the most affordable 2/3 zoom with extender we have. If you are well heeled, Canon has made an ENG type lens for Super35 cameras including the Canon C Series camcorders. It is the Canon CN7x17 KAS S Cine-Servo 17-120mm T2.95 (EF Mount). Unfortunately, in order for this lens to cover the large Super35 sensor, it is bigger, made to the highest standards and priced accordingly. Final note: These lenses will require a separate power cable to a d-tap battery in order for the servo zoom motor to work. See attached cable.

A: Our church purchased 2 BMD Studio Camera 4k with this canon lens, and yes, they do work. That being said - couple things we discovered. We purchased FotodioX Pro PowerLynx Kit which uses the Pro B4 Magic Adaptor to convert the B4 canon lens to the Micro Four Thirds mount on the BM camera. The locking mechanism that connects the adaptor to the lens doesn't quite turn all the way on the adaptor. I can send a pic if you need. However, it seems to hold fine enough. We also struggle with not getting enough light and I don't know if that is a product of light loss due to the adaptor or just our room. We are in a dark auditorium trying to video from about 80 ft away. I just know that we have to have the iris on manual and fully open. There is another adaptor that i've seen recommended but it runs $2500 - the MTF Services Ltd B4 2/3 Super16 Micro Four Thirds Adaptor. Possibly it would fit properly and not have as much light loss. Not sure though. As far as control from the Black Magic switcher software (if you're using that), sending a program feed via SDI to the camera will give you control over gain, shutter speed, white balance, color balance, tally... Pretty much everything except zoom and iris control.
