Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the core size on this roll? I'm trying to see if it will fit on an Epson ipf 4900.

A: whether it 2 or 3" both will fit on the Epson 4900. If you remove the adapters on the roll shaft it will do 3".

A: This is set up to last about 71 years.

Q: 3. What is the surface like on this reverse side of this paper? Can you inkjet print text or write with a ballpoint pen?

A: The Moab Lasal Exhibition Luster 300 Paper (4 x 6") 50 Sheets BH #MOLEL4650 is single sided and not coated for Inkjet on the back so you would not be able to print on it but could write with a felt tip pen.

Q: 5. Does this paper contain optical brightening agents?

A: For purists, only natural fine art paper that say they don't have optical brighteners, like Canson who have been in business for over 500 years making paper. Although though Moab paper doesn't say anything on their website, brighteners might be present in small quantities.

Q: 6. Anyone using this with an Epson P800? How does it compare to Epson Luster?

A: Hi Chris, The Moab Exhibition Luster is a bit heavier than the Epson. It also has a reduced 'specular' quality to the surface. By this I mean the Epson luster appears to shimmer when light hits it from various angles. The Moab luster does not have this effect and is more uniform under various lighting environments.

Q: 7. where can I find printer profiles for this paper?

A: The find the printer profiles for this paper, go to the Moab website, click "ICC Profiles" and select "ICC Profiles Downloads." You will be able to select your printer model, and see which paper profile and settings are recommended.

A: Hello John,I just received this from B&H, What profile should I use for this paper with HP Vivera pigment ink? I cannot help you because I am using an Epson Printer with Epson Inks.

Q: 9. Is this paper archival?

A: Although the Moab Lasal Exhibition Luster 300 Paper is Acid Free, it still contains optical brightening agents (OBAs), so although this is a good thick exhibition luster, for strict evaluation this is NOT considered an archival paper.

The sheen this metallic paper provides is perfect for my astroscape and nightscape photography; it separates the black space from the stars and nebulosity in a fantastic way.

I really like the depth that this paper gives, even on B&W and nearly desaturated prints. IT looks best without glass in front of it, but even framed the prints are quite special.

Started using this to up the quality of photos for wedding clients and they are amazing. Dark blacks and deep colors, creating a classy 3D effect. No brand on the back so it looks more professional. Highly recommend for home projects or business.

This unique paper surprised me. I was thinking metallic would look cheesy, but for the right image it is amazing. I bought this specifically for some detailed shots of water and it makes the highlights looks so realistic.

With it's gorgeous luster and luminosity, it really made my bee photography pop. It does a great job with Epson K3 inks, printing without the color shifts you see when viewing Epson papers from off angles, which can cause an inverted, textured look. This stuff keeps the highlights bright and has a remarkably even finish. I've been using letter size, but am sorely tempted to get larger sizes for even more dramatic prints.

I was looking for a 11x14 option for paper and this seemed to be the best option. The only challenge that I had was figuring out what paper type matched up with my printer. Once out found that out I was good to go.

My printer is an Epson P-900 and this is what I found...

Slickrock Pearl uses Premium Photo Paper Semigloss
Slickrock Silver uses Premium Photo Paper Glossy
