The Tiffen 4 x 5.65" 1 Cool Blue Hard-Edge Graduated Filter helps to specifically add a cool, purplish-blue coloration to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a hard-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 1 color density provides less cool blue coloration than the 2 density filter.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 4 x 5.65" / 101.6 x 143.5mm.

Note: A horizontal orientation filter's line of transition runs parallel to the long side of the filter.

Q: 1. What is the RPM on this drive?

A: 5400 rpm

Q: 2. I have a early 2011 MacBook Pro laptop and currently using Yosemite. I would like to buy the WD 2TB My Passport Drive for Mac. Does anyone know of any issues with using an older Mac?

A: good

Q: 3. Can this drive be used as a bootable backup??

A: I have a couple of these hard drive and I am using them as backups for the main drives having the system and the applications on them.Reformat the drives before backing up and DO NOT UNPLUG THEM BEFORE EJECTING. I've done that twice and the hard drives stopped working...

Q: 4. Why doesn't B&H list the RPM in the SPECS?

A: Did not suit my work flow. Software hard to use.

Q: 5. This summer I will be traveling and Im looking to use my iPhone 5S or maybe a Go Pro 3 or 4 to record some behind the scene videos of both my travels and me doing photography. Normally I would bring my laptop but due to weight and capacity constraints, I'm looking for another solution to back-up these videos. Would I be able to transfer the videos Note, I will be in the backcountry without cell reception? FYI, I'm keen on this solution as it has an SD Card reader to allow me to back-up my photographs from my DSLR.

A: Yeah as long as you have power going into the hard drive you should be able to back up files from the SD card. It kinda just dumps it into a folder though, so if you're super peculiar about naming convention and formatting, you should use this purely as a backup solution and not wipe your cards.

Q: 6. Can we format it to NTFS for Windows 7?

A: As far as I know, you should be able to reformat this disk to NTFS. However, I suggest you look at other Western Digital My Passport drives that are already formatted for Windows. Those might be a little less expensive and serve the same purposes for you.

Q: 7. How do I get to backups?

A: When connecting to your Apple computer, you can set it up with Apple Time Machine.

Q: 8. Since this drive doesn't support CF cards, Can one connect the CF card through the Card reader which in turn connects with USb 3.0?

A: You won't be able to connect a card reader to the hard drive's USB port. The USB port only serves for connecting the hard drive itself to a computer, or to a charger. It cannot act as a host for other devices.

Q: 9. Can I set a password to lock it?

A: Yes, the WD My Passport Essential 500GB Portable Hard Drive features password-protected encryption.

Q: 10. Is this 5400 or 7200 rpm?

A: This drive spins at 5400 RPM.
