A: Two points about this question: 1. Since I have no experience with Sony photo products I have nothing to compare so cannot answer the question. 2. Choosing a lens is all about what you want to use it for, what you need it to do, how many types of imagery you want to shoot with it and how much money you have to spend. But for general use, the 18-135 mm IS STM lens for the Canon 80D, a body I purchased a couple months ago, is a very fine all around lens. Not wide enough for most of what I shoot but then I shoot real estate interiors and need an ultra wise. But for most shooting and video especially, the 18-135 is excellent, sharp, good for scenics and for portraits and most things inbetween. That I can say with experience. And it is a perfect match for the 80D body. The body itself I can say is marvelous. Much greater contrast capture, better color range and many more settings than bodies I have had in the past and for video, it has much faster change of exposure in auto as you pan across subject matter where the exposure changes. So while I now nothing about Sony, I can without reservation recommend the Canon set up.

Q: 3. Does it has a magnesium Alloy Body Construction?

A: No, the 80D does not have magnesium alloy construction. The outer covering of the body is glass reinforced polycarbonate construction according to Canon's website. You would have to get the 7D Mark II or 5D Mark III to get magnesium alloy construction. However, I will say that the 80D is a solid camera and feels really good in hand. I have both the 80D and 6D. The 6D does have magnesium alloy front and back panels, the top and bottom are polycarbonate. I heard that this is due to the 6D having WiFi and GPS capabilities. Hope this helps.
