The Tiffen 2 x 3" Fog 1/8 Filter simulates the effects of natural fog or mist by creating a soft glow around highlights and lowering the overall contrast of the scene. There can also be a softening effect due to how the light interacts with the subject matter. The 1/8 density provides a lesser amount of fog effect than the 1/4 and requires no exposure compensation.

Tiffen filters are made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 2 x 3" / 50.8 x 76.2mm.

Q: 1. What is weight?

A: Listed under the specs tab on our website, Weight 28.4 oz / 805 g

Q: 2. I’m thinking of purchasing this, how would I mount an M50 or M6 MKII to it?

A: All you need to add is a T-mount adapter and camera-specific T-ring. The T-Ring couples your 35mm SLR camera body to the T-Adapter, radial guider, or tele-extender. This accessory is mandatory if you want to do photography through the telescope. Each camera make has its own unique mount and therefore, its own T-Ring. Celestron has 8 different models for 35mm cameras. you may also need an Canon EF-M Lens Adapter Kit for Canon EF / EF-S Lenses for your camera body.

Q: 3. why is this lens so expensive?

A: If you remember the Azanuma zooms of the 70's, this is way betterbut so was everything else& just rent it first if you are not sure so that you don't end up complaining and explaining that you purchased it and then got charged a restocking fee when you returned it in some insipid equipment review. At the end of the day people are gonna end up with what they can afford, like, and can actually live withirrespective of any reviews.

Q: 4. does this lens feature internal focusing and internal zooming? Does it extend during zooming or does it remain the same length?

A: Internal focus and zoom. Little to no focus breathing either.

Q: 5. Can use this lens on Panasonic GH5 with dual stabilizatoon ? Thank you ! Eseanu Sorin .

A: Yes. Both the GH5 and this lens support Dual IS.

Q: 6. I was wondering if I can use the 24-240mm lens on this camera until I can afford to purchase the 2.8 24-70mm lens to go with this camera. I am going to purchase the new Sony A9 camera and the cost of the camera and that 2.8 24-70mm lens is a little bit beyond my budget right now. So I thought I would purchase the 24-240mm lens instead for now because of the lower cost and I thought that it would be nice to have that extra reach. but I know that the 2.8 24-70mm lens is a faster lens which is better for low light photography. Thank You!

A: I use the 24-240 as a daily use lens, it does a great job and it's not too cumbersome to use all day - for landscape and some nearby wildlife.

Q: 7. Is there a collar that makes the new Z lenses backward compatible with existing F mount cameras (Nikon 850)?

A: No. You physically cannot adapt Z lenses to F mount cameras, the sensor to flange distance will not allow for this.

Q: 8. Have it guarantee for Kazakhstan?

A: No, USA only.

Q: 9. Are there any differences between version 1 of this lens vs version 2 other than auto focus response?

A: Version II of this lens features a dust- and splash-resistant design to suit its use in trying weather conditions as well as better coatings. It is also quieter than the first version.

Q: 10. Will this adapter fit the lens on the Canon PowerShot G1X Mk III? Thank you

A: I have the Mk III and I can tell you unequivocally that it takes 37mm filters with no adapter necessary.
