At 5.5 lb the LED1000-TX Studio Tungsten LED Light with DMX from Dracast is an ideal choice for the studio or location work where color accuracy, control and flicker-free output are of major importance. The LED1000-TX's tungsten-balanced output is well-suited to color matching other tungsten fixtures, while its high CRI of 95 renders colors with precision and fidelity. Dimming from 100-0% is conveniently done with a back-panel button that adjusts the output with negligible color shift and indicates the light level on a digital readout. Alternatively, you can control the light's functions remotely thanks to its DMX capability. The low electrical draw of just 60W means a timely return on your investment.

The durable anodized aluminum frame is supported by a sturdy, U-shaped yoke with locking knobs on each side and a standard 5/8" receiver. This version of the LED1000 can be used worldwide, powered by the included 100-240 VAC power adapter. Accessories include optional 4-way barndoors for contouring and control of the LED1000-TX's 45 degree beam angle.

Q: 3. The first time I used the Dracast 160, it suddenly shut down after about 7 minutes of use. It wouldn't power back up. I assumed it was the battery, and when I inserted a new one, it worked again. But the old battery tested at 100%. Anybody else encountered this?

Q: 4. The video states that this light takes either a Sony or a Panasonic battery,Is there two battery trays? I shoot with a Pani DVX200, I can't find any LED lights that use that style of battery, It's defiantly a disadvantage to have to carry two types of batterys.

A: This will only run directly off of the Sony-type NP-F batteries. However, it will also run off the D-tap cable from the larger brick style batteries (the ones that use the V-mount or Gold mounts), as long as it has the appropriate voltage. A: No, but in my opinion for the money this is the one of the best LED's on the market.

Q: 8. What is the approximate length of use with the f975 sony battery at full brightness?

A: These answers are all good. Once you've calculated the watt-hours (Wh), you can figure out how long that battery will power any given light. A: According to Dracast, yes, the Dracast LED1000-DX Studio Daylight LED Light with DMX is able to dim all the way from 100% intensity to 0% intensity when using DMX remote control.

The stands work if you take the caps off of them and reveal the threads underneath! If you need the square lights to be hot swappable, you need the adapters - otherwise they will work on the provided stands if you take off the cap. 5

I just used it for a video interview situation and it was perfect. The 750 w/chimera made a beautiful key light and the fresnels were great for backlight and bounce fill as well as background. The travel box is heavy but once it's on location you have everything you need. 5

I have found that this is a great kit for smaller projects and interviews. The fixtures that are included give a lot options for the type of productions we do. And because of the size of the fixtures, we are able to use house power for everything. All around a great buy. 5

Its a fantastic kit, great for interviews and enough amplitude for lighting medium-sized rooms. Also gives you tremendous control and diversity. LEDs and Kinos are nice and all, but they can't compare to the level of light manipulation and richness this little kit gives you. 5

Great kit for small to medium productions, with the accessories you need to get started and build your way up adding bigger lights, softboxes and other. They get extremely hot right away, but I used them last week on a set for over three hours and they worked great, just remember to use the included gloves to handle them. Arri also has lights that wont gte hot and you can control the white balance, but they are more expensive. If you can afforded I would say go for those. I bought to Pro Flags and Impact Dimmers, and they are a great addition to this kit. 5

I was interested in buying a ring light. I've previously purchased Dracast products in the past and have been very happy with the quality. B&H sells a Dracast Ringlight ALONE for $160 so when I saw this bundle, paired with 2x bi-color LED's and 3x stands AND all AC Adapters, I jumped on it. I'll use the two LED panels in other setups even without the ring light. This is a great value. 5

Been lighting with halogen soft boxes and getting nice looking stuff. But the results are lame compared to what the focusable flood can do w/ without the soft box. Add in the fresnels to get different looks, fix problems and our work has just jumped two notches, at least. I toyed with just getting a three light fresnel kit, and I am very glad I went for the kit with the 750 flood. At first I thought the 650 were too much and put a 300 watt in one of them, on the set I switched it back. I'm shooting with a 5D mmii, and keeping the ASA 800 and lower is critical and you just can't do that without a lot of light that you can control. 5

Great versatility in a small(ish) package! Light a talking head or a whole room! I purchased the recommended dimmer and use it almost exclusively with the soft-box. Most of the time I can light an interview (or other medium to small shots) with one light and a bounce card. Everything packs up in one case, it is a bit heavy, but once it is on location there are no more trips to the van. Highly recommended. 5
