The Tiffen 4 x 6" #9 (3) Yellow Filter is a basic contrast filter, primarily for use with black and white film. This medium yellow filter slightly darkens skies, helps to cut through haze, and improves overall contrast. It is a common contrast filter for black and white photography, producing an accurate tonal range and compensating for the blue sensitivity of panchromatic film.

There is a 2x filter factor with this filter, requiring an increase of 1 stop for normal exposure. Tiffen filters are made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 4 x 6" / 101.6 x 152.4mm.

Q: 1. Add a teleconverter

A: By all means, yes.

Q: 2. Has anyone used this as a spotting scope for benchrest shooting? If so, what would be the maximum effective yardage for viewing the target?

A: I really would not recommend this for Benchrest Shooting. I would go with something with a zoom eyepiece. This model really acts like a telescope with different interchangeable eyepieces. I would personally recommend the Redfield Rampage 20-60x80 Spotting Scope Kit. This would be a good choice for Benchrest Target Shooting. Q: 3. does this lens focus manually as well as AF? I just got it and when I turn the focus ring I do not see any change in focus.

A: I think the answer to your most recent question is it depends , e.g.,If camera is set to AF-S and you use back button focusing with lock-on when you lift your thumb off the back button, then you can tweak manually. If you use shutter button (half press), and then, keeping it half pressed, tweak manually it may work.If you use AF-C the camera will override any tweak/s.If you set Direct Manual Focus (DMF), it will start as AF-S and then go to manual focus mode where you can tweak the focus -- it will stay in manual focus as long as you are in half press shutter button. DMF is even more helpful if you have set Peaking Level and Color.

Q: 4. Can this lense be used on my a77! And will it give me a good result or I should upgrade the body to the a7rii!

A: I echo the answer given by John. I believe a77 is compatible with A-mount lenses. The FE 70-200 GM is for E mount cameras. So, I don't think it is going to fit your camera unless an adopter is used.

Q: 5. Can the lens without the tripod ring mount to an arca swiss/really right stuff ball head?

A: No

Q: 6. If this lens produces a result a little too close (zoomed in), what would be the next Lumix lens that would have a slightly wider field of view?

A: There is a Panasonic 30mm lens, click the link below to view; https://bhpho.to/3c5oJxI

Q: 7. Does anyone have experience with this lens on a OM-D or OM series camera?

A: Great lens and form factor. lens produces a sharp picture and great in low light.

Q: 8. hi im planning fitting this to my a6500 can you please give zoom values with & without the converter?.thanks, Terry

A: It says 1.4x....multiply 70 by 1.4. Now multiply 200 by 1.4. These two number make the larger range. Keep in mind with the teleconverer you get a worse f stop. It becomes a F4 stop

Q: 9. I have a Sony NEX-6 with the 6-50 OSS lens. I want to get a telephoto zoom and trying to decide which one to get and whether to get an 18-200 or a 55-200?

A: This is one situation where it seems the 18-200mm lens may slightly out-perform the two-lens setup of the 16-50mm and 55-210mm lenses. While image quality does typically prefer the two-lens setup, the 18-200mm lens is well-designed (as indicated by its price), and the main struggles it would have would be with chromatic abberation, and slightly with distortion on the wide-end of the zoom; however, even for the all-in-one lens, it performs better than the 16-50mm lens at 16mm natively. When using the 16-50mm lens and the 55-210mm lens, some of the optical issues can be corrected simply by activating the camera's Distortion Correction feature, which also assists in correcting for vignetting. Basically, if you are on a budget, the two lens setup would be a good option, using the camera's Distortion Correction feature, but if you need a one-lens-does-all solution, then the 18-200mm lens is a good option on the NEX camera platform.

Q: 10. is this lens made in Japan?

A: Yes.
